Hi there! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of RDC Liberation, PLLC, a fully virtual therapy practice. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working in different settings with people from all walks of life, and those experiences have shaped the way I show up in this work. Since starting my private practice in 2024, I’ve loved being able to create a space where folks can feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow and heal in their own way. I’d love for you to check out our website to learn more and see if I—or another therapist on our team—might be a good fit for you.

No two clients are alike, so neither is my approach! I work with clients who feel they are out of options, feel lost, burnt out, and feel their symptoms have taken over their lives. With all of my clients, I work to instill the skills not only needed to overcome the issue they are seeking counseling for, but also how to use these skills with future problems. My therapeutic approach is tailored to each individual client and their needs but is always goal oriented. I have a special interest/experience in self-injury, depression, anxiety, pregnancy/postpartum issues, parenting and chronic pain/migraines with adolescents and adults.

Childhood experiences have a huge impact on who we become as adults and are often the root of our pain. Therapy allows you to start untangling your past to see how it connects to your present. The things you need to heal, are already within you. I offer both solution-focused interventions aimed at easing your emotional discomfort and long-term depth work to discover what's at the bottom of that discomfort. I create a safe, accepting space for you to come as you are, while helping you identify how you want to grow. While relationships are often the source of our pain, they are also the source of our healing.

Welcome, I am currently accepting new clients ! I have worked with individuals who suffers with depression, anxiety, Life transitions, trauma and co-occurring disorder. Rather short or long term, therapy is a process and if you are willing to commit to feeling better and step into a healthier version of yourself then it is my pleasure to walk that path with you. Watching my clients begin to put the pieces to their puzzle together is what I love the most about being a mental health professional

I am a bilingual therapist who has been in the field for almost 10 years. I got into this field because I love to help people and be a support system for them. I initially began my career as a school social worker and eventually transitioned to working in case management. My approach when working with clients is to use mindfulness and collaboration during sessions.

Rachel’s goal in therapy is to provide clients with a strong, stable sense of self and the confidence to live more honestly in relationship with others. As a therapist, Rachel draws heavily on her psychoanalytic training, helping clients access unconscious thoughts that may be affecting day to day life and relationships with the belief that insight itself can be liberating. Rachel’s approach extends beyond the psychoanalytic and is integrative, pulling from behavioralist models as well as family systems and attachment theory when and where appropriate. Rachel works primarily with emerging adults, adults, and couples.

When we find ourselves held back or stuck in life, it can be difficult to see another way. We may go through the motions of each day, but know deep down that we feel unhappy, anxious, vulnerable, scared, and hurt. Our history, identities, and relationships are key to understanding why we feel stuck, and how we can feel free. I am committed to helping you feel free. Free to be your authentic self, to choose what you want in life, and to let go of or make peace with the things that no longer serve you, so that you can lead a life rich with meaning, love, and growth.

My counseling philosophy is based on the idea that connection is the most important factor in healing. Getting to know a patient in therapy is an adventure. It’s a journey that often starts at the time of the initial phone conversation. The road takes us through peaks and valleys neither side predicted. I use my personality, mind, and spirit to understand the needs of my clients. These instruments encourage building a relationship in which we can collaborate to reach goals.

If you're someone who feels like they have "been there, done that" when it comes to therapy and are looking for deeper understanding of yourself or your relationship, I just might be your therapist. I'm someone who believes coping skills are fantastic, but challenging deeply-held emotional beliefs is what moves people towards lasting change. To do this, I make space for the people I work with to feel understood for exactly who they are. Because I know that when people are able to explore their full selves in a compassionate, curious way, they will be amazed at what they can change (or in some cases, learn to love and accept!).

I've found it helpful in my practice to be direct and to the point, while maintaining professional and nurturing relationships with my clients. I believe strongly in modeling healthy boundaries, and helping clients to strengthen their own. I love what I do, and I know my clients can sense that. I think my clients can also sense the great respect I have for them. Asking for help is never easy. Especially when one feels vulnerable.

You may be in a phase of life where something feels off, a disconnect or strain in your relationships or in yourself. Maybe you’ve been longing for something real and meaningful and haven’t found it yet. Our relationships, even the one we have with ourselves, shape how we love, trust, and connect. While they can be complex and challenging, especially when we don’t know how to navigate them, they can also become empowering once we learn to understand and nurture them. Whether you're stuck in old patterns or craving intimacy and connection with your partner, I offer a space where we’ll gently unpack what’s no longer working.

Female Therapists

Does it matter what gender my therapist is?

In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.

Should I see a female therapist?

Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?

Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?

It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
