Finding a therapist that meets your needs and makes you feel comfortable makes all the difference in the therapeutic process. It’s one of the most important factors that impact treatment and recovery. Therapy is a journey that should be shared with someone you’re comfortable with and trust. Working with me you will find a sympathetic and genuine therapist. I partner with my clients and gently challenge them in a safe and nonjudgmental environment. I encourage them to explore their thoughts, feelings, and fears in order to understand the obstacles they are experiencing and help them make the changes that are necessary to improve life

My approach to therapy begins with a belief that we are all wired for connection. Connection happens when we are heard and understood in relationship to others. I engage our work through compassion, curiosity, humor, perspective, and honesty. I believe that creating a space to slow down and tune into our emotions, beliefs, and responses is a primary way to heal, grow, and authentically relate to others. My passion in counseling is to create a relationship built on safety, trust, and hope, where people feel accepted and challenged to grow in new and meaningful ways. .

I believe in meeting you exactly where you are, honoring your pace, and supporting you in discovering what helps you feel more regulated, confident, and connected to yourself. You’re a parent worried about your child’s big feelings or behaviors—meltdowns, anxiety, or withdrawal. You want to understand them, help them cope, and rebuild connection. Or maybe you’re a teen athlete feeling overwhelmed by stress, pressure, or performance anxiety. You’re looking for a space that feels safe, where healing can happen through trust, creativity, and support that actually fits.

When life feels like too much—your heart races, your chest tightens, tension builds, and your mind loops the same worries—anxiety isn’t just in your head. It’s in your body, your breath, your sleep, and your ability to get through the day. If that sounds familiar, you’re not broken—and you’re definitely not alone. I help individuals struggling with anxiety build tools to calm the nervous system, restore balance, and reconnect with themselves. You deserve to feel good—not just survive, but truly thrive.

Finding the right therapist can be tough. I've worked with clients that thought they were too "crazy" to be helped and others that were dismissive of their own concerns, thinking their problems weren't important enough to warrant support. Everybody deserves support and to find a therapist that really "gets" them.

Anger Management Therapists
How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.

How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.

Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.

What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
