We all search for the one path that will lead to happiness; problem is, there isn't one path. Every path can lead to happiness. We have to pick the one that looks best for us and not look back at the other paths, or go searching for new ones. This is often the case in the aftermath of a major loss, traumatic event or life transition. We question, "why me?" I see myself as your coach helping you navigate the new normal that you call your life. I want to help you find happiness along your path.

Sloan has found himself to be most effective working with people who want to feel happier and more satisfied with their past, current, or future circumstances. Through evaluating the purpose of various thoughts, feelings, and behaviors we can work together to find root causes for dissatisfaction in day-to-day life. The next step is to explore opportunities for changing our thinking and behavior to impact our state of mind. The final step is to put this into action. Along the way we can examine barriers to completing these tasks on our journey to a more fulfilling life.

I help people learn how to handle the challenges of daily life in relationship with the spiritual world. Most people are accustomed to thinking of themselves as alone in the world and to figure things out on their own, and fight for survival. As a spiritual counselor, I help you meet the challenges of life from a new awareness of collective existence. I help you gain an understanding of your role in the unfolding of your life. I offer support of the whole person, soul and spirit, emotions, mind and body in practical life.
I believe that people have primary accountability for their own lives, and that within each of us is the power and capacity to make choices that will lead to happiness and fulfillment. However, sometimes there are obstacles that must first be overcome (for example, anger, depression, trauma, anxiety, sexual identity issues, relationship problems, etc.) to be able to make healthy choices. I assist my clients along their journey of self-discovery as they learn how to empower themselves to overcome their obstacles. They then are able to make choices that will lead them to the life they want to have.
