I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and also offer life coaching and energy therapies. I have specialties working with adolescents and young adults, though enjoy adults at all ages. I have specialized training in the LGBTQ population and much of my passion is working with anxiety and self-confidence. Something I enjoy helping people with is coming out of definition and conclusion about who they are or what their life has to be. Hi, I'm Shannon. I am a licensed social worker, having earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from Aurora University. I specialize in child and adolescent therapy and am a certified child and adolescent trauma professional. I have extensive experience working with children and adolescents, working for over 20 years in early childhood prior to pursuing a career in social work. I also have a background in art, having studied in the field for years.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive work with individuals, families and couples counseling. I have been trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and IFS (Internal Family Systems) Therapy. I feel that seeking therapy shows tremendous inner strength and character! I feel it is an honor to walk with people in part of their journey of life where they may need some extra support or a fresh perspective on various situations. I bring to the practice over ten years of working with adults, adolescents, and their families in outpatient, residential, and inpatient settings. For a period, I served as clinical director of a child and adolescent psychiatric unit. As a result, I frequently takes on adolescents with more significant emotional and behavioral disorders and families in crisis in which hospitalization may be required. Outside of working with adolescents, one of my particular interests is doing marital therapy. Additionally, my specialties with adults are anger management, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, borderline personality disorder, pain management, and men's issues.
