I have been working in the field of mental health for over 25 years. I have experience in many different settings, including hospitals, residential facilities, schools, and private practice. I have experience treating clients of all ages, though I specialize in working with adolescents and adults with various concerns or struggles.

I believe that people do the best they know how to do. But life has a way of presenting us with problems that can tax our ability to cope, and it can be difficult to see our way through. I believe therapy can provide the calm and understanding conditions that allow an individual to gain insight into their problems, to learn how to manage their emotions, and gain skills that lead to a more rewarding life.

My goal is to help each client I work with feel empowered to be an active part of their own healing. I believe that my job is to create a safe space for clients to explore how to use many of their own strengths to get back on track when life has become overwhelming.
