I work to build trust with my clients by creating a safe and therapeutic atmosphere while promoting autonomy, commitment, respect and support. Work I do with clients aims to answer the question, "How do I become satisfied with my life?" I challenge my clients to explore their lives with honesty, open-mindedness and willingness in order to uncover suffering that has brought dysfunction to their lives. Goals to practice positive life skills are specifically created to one's individual treatment plan and speak to issues such as depression , anxiety, adjustment/transition challenges, addiction, grief, loss, and more.

Areas of special concentration include: Autism, Aspergers, Anxiety, Depression , and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults who are comfortable with a one on one approach to counseling. Working with children in therapy always involves working with the parents. As with adolescents, providing them with a sense of privacy and trust is something I try to develop from the very beginning. For adults, privacy, confidentiality, and respect occur in a atmosphere of warmth and patience. If you are dealing with Attention Deficit Disorder, Depression , Anxiety, Panic attacks, Bipolar Disorder, or Post Traumatic Stress, I am sure you will find the relief you are looking for at my office.

I work with people who struggle with depression , anxiety, and/or moving on after traumatic or distressing experiences.
You function well in your career, you’re responsible, and you are a motivated person. On the surface, it seems like you have everything together. Nobody would guess you struggle with depression , anxiety, or self-doubt. It’s easy to think that things aren’t that bad when you seem to function so well. But you are also tired of living this way and you know things could be better. If you want to learn to calm your nervous system, sleep better, feel more comfortable in your skin, and function better at work and at home, I can help you.

Depression Therapists
Depressive disorders are characterized by persistent feelings of sadness and worthlessness and a lack of desire to engage in formerly pleasurable activities. Depression is not a passing blue mood, which almost everyone experiences from time to time, but a complex mind/body illness that interferes with everyday functioning. It not only darkens one's outlook, it is commonly marked by sleep problems and changes in energy levels and appetite. It alters the structure and function of nerve cells so that it disrupts the way the brain processes information and interprets experience.

Despite feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness, depression is a treatable condition. It can be treated with psychotherapy. As with many illnesses, the earlier treatment begins, the more effective it can be and the greater the likelihood that recurrence can be prevented.

Psychotherapy addresses the thinking patterns that precipitate depression, and studies show that it prevents recurrence. Drug therapy is often helpful in relieving symptoms, such as severe anxiety, so that people can engage in meaningful psychotherapy.
