My approach is warm, authentic, and collaborative, combining CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and strengths-based therapy.
My ideal clients are Women of Color who have spent years caring for everyone else and are finally ready to prioritize themselves. They often come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, low self-worth, or the emotional weight of always having to be "strong." Together, we create a safe, supportive space to process difficult experiences, build healthier boundaries, strengthen confidence, develop practical coping skills, and help them heal, rediscover themselves, and move forward with greater peace and purpose.

My approach to therapy is rooted in frameworks (CBT and DBT) I’ve been trained in and naturally tend to use in my work.

Life can feel overwhelming, whether from past experiences, current stressors or systems that haven’t worked as they should. You don’t have to sort through it alone. My goal is to help you find steadiness in the chaos and create a space where you feel more balanced, supported and like yourself again.
I work with teens and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and OCD. Since 2011, I’ve worked in both outpatient and inpatient settings, supporting people from a wide range of backgrounds. What I value most from these experiences are the people, it’s a privilege to be trusted with someone’s story and I don’t take that lightly.

You’ve spent years holding it all together—silent, hidden, and alone. Perhaps you learned early on to stay quiet, be the "helpful" one, and never ask for too much. In the process of taking care of everyone else, you lost sight of your own needs. Maybe you’ve relied only on yourself for so long that trusting others feels overwhelming.
Now, you’re ready to stop what isn't working and do it differently. My approach helps you release psychic pain trapped in your physical body and let go of stuck emotions. Together, we will reclaim your voice, build a supportive community, and create sustainable, holistic change.

It takes courage to slow down and look inward—especially when life has taught you to keep going, no matter how heavy things feel. On the outside, it may look like everything is under control. Internally, however, the pressure is leading to burnout, chronic stress, emotional exhaustion and a growing sense of disconnection. I work with high-achieving professionals, executives, healthcare professionals, and other driven individuals who want a confidential space to step out of performance mode, think clearly, and regain a sense of balance and direction.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT) Therapists
Who is DBT for?
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is designed for people who experience extreme emotional suffering because they lack the skills of emotion regulation and distress tolerance. The basic affliction can underlie a wide range of conditions, from borderline and other personality disorders to PTSD and treatment-resistant anxiety and depression. The therapy is helpful to those whose emotional reactivity is so intense it is disruptive to everyday functioning and leads to frequent crises.
Why do people need DBT?
The ability to regulate emotions is a core psychological skill that enables people to function in life and pay attention to the world outside themselves; it is consistently associated with well-being. DBT is designed to help people learn how to manage and regulate their emotions. Originally developed to treat people with borderline personality disorder whose extreme emotional suffering led to self-harming behavior and suicide attempts, the therapy is now applied to other conditions involving emotion dysregulation, particularly when other treatments have failed.
What happens in DBT?
Individuals meet weekly with their therapist to discuss their experiences relating to moods, behavior, and skills. Using checklists they maintain, they review emotional experiences and positive practices they engage in. The diaries help individuals discern what led up to a specific problem encountered, this is followed by discussion of the consequences of their actions. In addition, individuals may meet in class-like small groups to learn skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance.
How long does DBT last?
Because it is intended to establish long-lasting behavioral change among those with persistent problems, DBT is designed to last six months to a year. DBT includes both weekly sessions of individual therapy and weekly skills-training sessions conducted in small groups. Studies of DBT have documented improvement within a year of treatment, particularly in controlling self-harmful behavior; nevertheless, individuals may require therapy for several years.
