I have years of experience in working with diverse populations within the mental health community and crisis prevention. I provide therapy for adults, adolescents, couples, groups and families. My approach is influenced but not limited to CBT, Trauma focused CBT, DBT, Psychodynamic, Psychotherapy, Solution Focused, Strength Based, Interpersonal Therapy, Mindfulness and Strength Based therapy.

I work best with clients who are troubled by anxiety, depression, relationship issues, losses or trauma, and life transition issues. I provide individual and family therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. I use a variety of treatment techniques including cognitive, psychodynamic, and client-centered therapies as well as behavior management strategies. My research on coping with traumatic life events has prepared me well to work with clients who have experienced trauma and crisis. A life crisis can be debilitating at first, but can lead to a search for meaning and dramatic new growth. It is exciting for me to accompany clients in this process!

Leslie Frame-Crowley is a Licensed Social Worker in Illinois who has been practicing since 2019. She graduated from Simmons University in Boston. Leslie approaches the therapeutic relationship from a client-centered perspective, believing that the client is the expert of their experience. Being a social worker, Leslie also maintains a person-in-environment perspective, meaning we are shaped by and always affecting the ecosystems of which we are a part. In her spare time, Leslie enjoys walking, socializing, community-making, writing, performance art, and exploring her hometown of Chicago.

I love to work collaboratively to explore one’s personal experiences and identity to help facilitate healing and self-growth. I have experience working with clients who have struggled with a wide range of mental health disorders including PTSD, substance use, and positive identity formulation. In addition to art therapy interventions, I use other counseling techniques in an eclectic approach, integrating mindfulness, CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic theory. As an art therapist, I also identify as an artist. This provides my clients many opportunities to learn more about themselves while also learning art skills.

As someone with special education certification and a professional education license, I can help interpret the IEP/504 process and compliment work done in the school setting.

I have an M.A. in Counseling Psychology and a passion for helping people on their mental health journey. I have experience working in hospitals, group homes, partial hospital programs, and intensive outpatient programs. My approach combines strength-based therapy with cognitive and dialectical behavior therapy with other evidenced-based treatments.

My name is Avery, I am a creative expression therapist. I help young people ambivalent to change move forward toward reaching their goals through emphasizing honest and expressive processing outside of talk therapy alone. I have a background in social work and child development, and specialize in areas such as grief, trauma, mood disorders, and life transitions.
