I specialize in working with folk who are queer, neurodivergent, and/or going through major life transitions. I recognize that beginning a journey toward greater self-discovery can be daunting. To be successful in this endeavor, it is crucial to feel understood and valued along the way. To this end, I approach the therapeutic relationship in a collaborative way and provide a person-centered, feminist therapeutic relationship characterized by radical validation and unconditional positive regard, focusing on your strengths, helping you to deepen agency and self-awareness, and emphasizing compassion and empathy throughout treatment.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist on faculty at Northwestern University Medical School. I have been in practice for the last 20 years. I have experience treating a wide range of mental health problems such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders, infertility, and relationship issues. I teach and present at major national conferences and run a busy group practice. With regard to my education, I am a graduate of Duke University. I received my M.A. in Developmental Psychology from Columbia University in NYC, and received my Ph.D. from Northwestern University.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with experience working with adults, couples, families, and groups. I received my Master's in Counseling with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from Governors State University. I've worked in a variety of mental health settings including residential substance abuse treatment, senior/veteran housing, EAP, and private practice. I have extensive experience working with clients dealing with co-occurring disorders, relationship issues, and grief/loss. I use a variety of theoretical orientations and collaboratively work with clients to provide support and continuous growth.
