I'm the Chief Medical Officer at Stella Mental Health. For over 15+ years, my goal has been to help those experiencing mental health challenges to find relief. My passion for helping trauma victims stems from my own personal and family history of coping with PTSD/PTSI and depression issues. I understand the profound impact trauma can have on one's physical, mental, and emotional well-being. As an anesthesiologist, I discovered and pioneered the advanced use of stellate ganglion blocks for treating anxiety, trauma, and PTSD/PTSI, perfecting the protocol into the dual sympathetic reset (DSR), an advanced stellate ganglion block (SGB).

Together we will identify what leads you to want to meet with a therapist, what you hope to accomplish in those meetings, and steps to achieve your goals. Finding the right words to describe the situation you are in and the feelings you hold occurs more readily when there is time set aside for those conversations, when judgment is suspended, and where comfort is pervasive. I try to create with you all the ingredients to accomplish those goals.

Life can be a journey with challenges where one wants to overcome those hurtles, yet solutions seem out of reach. For me, it is a privilege to accompany you on your journey and explore solutions to overcome these challenges. Much like life, therapy is a journey where you discover your power to overcome. As a therapist, my goal is simple: you are my goal! You are at the center of this journey. You are the main character who deserves dignity and compassion as you discover your power to move forward with your life journey.

Success in therapy is a result of the expertise of the therapist and the participation of the client. The therapist is responsible for helping the client to participate in a way that is comfortable and promotes growth and change. For more than 25 years, I have been training doctoral level clinical psychologists. To do so, I have had to remain current with advances in the field and have benefited from the input of new ideas and techniques. Techniques are not effective unless the therapist establishes a trusting relationship with his clients. This is my first goal.

As a relational therapist, I will work with you and address your challenges from a systemic framework. Together, we'll collaboratively uncover some of the contexts in which you may have learned to relate to others, and how your own family of origin stories continue to shape how you communicate and address conflict within your relationships. Through this work, we will begin to understand where these issues may be rooted, in order for you to unlearn them and create transformative awareness and the courage to change them. I will support you without judgment through this radical exploration in order to begin this important healing.

You wake up already surveying the day, revisiting yesterday, wondering if you are living life "correct." Your mind circles back to conversations, questioning if you are enough. It is exhausting. The second-guessing. The what-ifs. The pressure to find a quick sense of relief from the noise. Maybe analyzing feels like control. Or perhaps you've found other ways to cope: compulsions that promise a win, habits that involve losing yourself in a screen, or the urge to lean into a feeling just to stop the spiral. You want room to breathe without your mind or your OCD dictating every moment.

Humans are social creatures, which leads us to be affected by relationships in profound ways. However, relationships are highly complex, and can, at times, be difficult to decipher, form, and maintain. My work with clients has been centered around the development of stronger and healthier relationships, and that work begins with creating and managing powerful bonds between therapist and client. I believe every relationship exists on its own terms and with its own nuances, and I strive to help others see the connections in their lives for what they are, instead of what they wish they were.

Life is complicated in the best of times, and these are not the best of times It's a lot, trying to juggle career, finances, relationships, and even health issues that can arise. It is easy to get overwhelmed and lost and, if we can admit it, scared. You are reaching for a life that is fulfilling and viable in a world that is loud with distractions and nonstop demands for our attention. You may never have thought you would see a therapist, or maybe you've been in and out therapist offices for years. OK. What matters is that you know that right now you need some help and you have the courage to ask for it. That's the first step.

It's okay to talk about it. Life brings unexpected and difficult challenges that leave us feeling lost and unsure. Grief, trauma, relationship struggles, life transition, work-related issues, addiction, existential or spiritual doubts, and persistent feelings of guilt, shame, and inadequacy. These experiences can be demoralizing and defeating but also provide an immense opportunity for change and growth.
