I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who works from a client centered lens with diverse populations experiencing challenges. I work with adults, couples, adolescents, and is particularly passionate about helping immigrant families work through familial conflicts. I am skilled in working with clients who experience anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and substance use disorders. I provide a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their feelings, develop coping skills, and work towards their goals.

I work with people who are recovering from religious trauma, deconstructing their faith, or reintegrating spirituality into their lives, including those from the LGBTQIA+ community who have been harmed by religious groups. I am dedicated to an anti-oppression approach and love to learn and grow with clients seeking similar values. I value working with teenagers and young adults to empower them care for themselves and grow in confidence. I have expertise in working with adoptive families and birth parents. I am certified in Perinatal Mental Health to guide parents navigating the intense life changes of pregnancy and parenthood.

Our life's work is helping clients achieve a better sense of self and happiness...more recently we've recognized that without good mental health providers, finding this balance in life can be more difficult and stressful. As a result, we tend toward an Integrative approach and help our clients transform into the people they want to be. We see each client as an individual with many parts to their identity. Utilizing a holistic and systemic approach we help clients reintegrate the parts of themselves to function better as individuals and within their systems. I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) who works with children, adolescents, adults, and families. I specialize in treating eating disorders, trauma, PTSD, suicidal ideation, self-harm, personality disorders, anxiety, depression, and interpersonal relationship challenges. I am trained in DBT, ACT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Family Based Therapy. In my work with clients I use a person centered and insight-oriented approach to therapy, helping clients understand their past experiences and relationships, and the influence they have in the present.

The current state of affairs has led many of us to feel a little lost, overwhelmed, frustrated, or worried. As a mother, clinician, entrepreneur and wife I understand balancing the many roles we hold can be especially daunting in the current climate and provide traditional therapy services for IL residents. In addition to traditional therapy, I also provide coaching services, and enjoy working with female identifying entrepreneurs and content creators. Many of my clients are managing high functioning anxiety or ADHD while navigating a super busy life, trying to fit all the pieces together while also engaging in self care.

I later started to work one-on-one with individuals with mood disorders, depression, anxiety, ADHD, martial issues, minority issues, first responders with family conflict, trauma and other issues that keep the individual from having an abundant life. LifeSpan Counseling & Psychological Services offers services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. In therapy, I tend to take a collaborative, egalitarian approach to treatment. I am open and nonjudgmental, and I take special time to tailor treatment approaches to fit each individual therapeutic relationship. I practice from a predominately existential-phenomenological framework where individual needs, meaning-making, and pursuit of happiness are emphasized. I also incorporate elements of cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and attachment theory as needed.
