Healing isn’t linear, and there’s no final destination to reach. It’s an ongoing process of coming home to yourself, sometimes messy, often nonlinear, always unfolding. We carry stories shaped by our families, relationships, and cultural identities. Over time, these stories can form patterns that once protected us, but may now keep us feeling stuck or disconnected. In our work together, I offer a warm and nonjudgmental space where we can explore these patterns with curiosity, care, and a deep commitment to understanding what makes you you.

To schedule sessions, please book a call with our Client Care Coordinator here: www.calendly.com/adminccbh. Oftentimes women, especially working mothers, walk around feeling like something is wrong with them. We’re overwhelmed, stressed to the max, have too much on our plates, not enough support, we exhaust ourselves trying to keep up and we feel like we’re the only ones struggling. But we aren’t. As a CEO, mother and wife, Dr. Cira understands what so many women and mothers are struggling with on a day-to-day basis. And when women begin to understand that they are not the problem, life gets a lot easier.

I strive to be authentic, genuine and transparent with all of my families. If you feel lost or have become frustrated with your child, I'm here to listen and help. Together, lets figure out a solution that works for both you and your family. Speaking of transparency, I'm a kid at heart. I play Mario Kart, 90% of the pictures on my phone are of my dog and still get a little bummed out when I lose at UNO. I tell you this upfront because I expect us to be open and honest with each other throughout this process. In addition to working with young children and adolescents, I also work with adults who are diagnosed on the spectrum.

I specialize in working with ADHD, anxiety and obsessive–compulsive disorders, trauma, substance use and addiction, and women’s health.
Seeking therapy takes courage. It often means slowing down to face truths we’ve been avoiding, or giving voice to struggles that feel too heavy to carry alone. My goal is to provide a space that feels safe, nonjudgmental, and genuinely supportive—where you can bring your whole self without fear of how it will be received. Therapy is not “one size fits all.” Together, we’ll work at a pace that feels right for you, building skills, insights, and strategies that fit your life and goals. My approach balances compassion with practicality: I aim to create a welcoming space while also helping you move toward meaningful and lasting change.

ADHD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?

Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
