From my own personal journey, I have a passion for working with those confronting uncertainties around their sense of identity and how they express themselves. These uncertainties may be from issues related to gender identity and sexuality, difficulties with body image, or feeling lost in the transitional stages of life. I deeply value understanding the unique background of every individual and how the intersectionality of various identities impacts the equally unique nature of everyone's lived experiences. I believe this understanding is the key to developing an effective approach to finding and living as our most authentic selves.

The feelings of inadequacies, loss, & being overwhelmed by the pain/sorrow have become a fact of life. We consume videos, annotate self-help books, our desks are overflowing with "The idiot's guide to-" and "The mindset of-" and yet we still feel empty. Why? The world told you that this program was the "ultimate fix" if you just put in the effort. We are bombarded with "the only thing you need to (insert any issue)" but how do you actually move to the next step? How do we continue after loss? Were you even taught how? Was anyone taught how? Why don't we talk about it more? How do you manage these challenges?

You might be here because something in you hurts. That may be an emotional, physical, or relational pain. You may be grieving a loss, navigating the stress of a chronic illness, struggling with anxiety or depression, or feeling the impact of a past trauma. You might also be carrying the pain of being misunderstood or excluded. As a queer, neurodivergent therapist, I understand what it feels like to be overlooked or judged for experiences others find hard to face, and this fuels my passion for working with individuals who have been marginalized, misunderstood, dismissed, unseen, or told their pain is too much.

I believe our past experiences help shape who we are, but they don't have to define us. As your therapist, my goal is to help you navigate life’s barriers to find authenticity, acceptance, and self-compassion. Engaging with the creative process, somatic practice or non-ordinary states of consciousness can be incredibly transforming. My passion lies in creating opportunities for those who are curious, to use their artistic license and recognize their autonomy as they move through life. Our bodies know things often before we have words, because of this Art Therapy and the creative process allow participants to communicate non-verbally about difficult moments and gain new perspectives around these events within a non-ordinary state of consciousness. I truly believe changing your perspective is a catalyst for growth and change.
