When you feel safe and supported, then and only then are you able to let your guard down and get in touch with your core issues and feelings. The most important measure of whether therapy will have a positive outcome is the connection between you and your therapist. For this reason, my goal is to create a warm and supportive environment in which you will be respectfully heard, cared about and not judged in any way. My overall approach is conversational, non-judgemental and solution focused with humor and laughter always welcome :)

In my practice, we don’t need to pathologize your emotions to understand and validate your experiences. Lately are you feeling exceptionally angry, sad, hopeless, maybe alone? That is a normal response to your environment and world.
As a woman of color and social worker, I work from a decolonized and neurodivergent affirming lens. I recognize that society, not you, is exceptionally unwell.
I support clients navigating complex trauma, neurodivergence (ADHD, OCD), and the emotional wounds that follow. I also understand how growing up in a minority culture/community can shape your sense of self, belonging, safety, and healing.

If you have been carrying a lot, you don't have to carry it alone. Many of my clients are teens, young adults, and caregivers who've hit a moment where the path forward feels unclear or like the ground beneath them has shifted entirely. They're navigating parenthood, grief, burnout, trauma, or the slow ache of feeling disconnected from themselves. Some have been carrying things for a long time. Others are in the middle of a transition they didn't see coming. Whatever brought you to this page, you don't have to find your way through it alone.

Sleep or Insomnia Therapists
How effective is treatment for insomnia?
The most effective treatments for insomnia are behavioral techniques that reduce anxiety, including anxiety about falling asleep, and allow the body’s natural cycles to be recalibrated. The most common treatment is cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), which researchers have found to be more useful than medication, with rates of success as high as 80 percent.
Are there specific medications for sleep problems?
There are many medications, both over-the-counter and prescription that treat sleep problems. Supplements such as melatonin are popular and may help, though there is little evidence that it is more effective than a placebo. Prescription medications such as zolpidem are sometimes prescribed.
Are there natural treatments for sleep problems?
There are many natural treatments for everyday sleep problems. Reducing blue-light emitting screens, setting a regular bedtime, regular exercise, reducing caffeine and nicotine consumption, and keeping the bedroom dark and cool at night are all lifestyle changes that can help those who struggle with sleep but may not reach the level of an insomnia diagnosis.
What’s the difference between having trouble falling asleep and insomnia?
Life events, stress, and anxiety can lead to sleepless nights for everyone from time to time. To be diagnosed with insomnia, a patient must experience trouble falling asleep, trouble remaining asleep, waking up too early, or non-restorative sleep at least three nights per week for at least one month. Sleep problems affect one-third to one-half of the population, while chronic insomnia affects about 10 to 15 percent of people.
