NOTE: I currently have three openings (updated 2/10/26). You know that tight, sinking feeling in your stomach when stress keeps piling up and you can’t catch a break. When life feels like that, it’s hard to think clearly, rest well, or feel like yourself. I help adults calm that constant pressure, get unstuck, and start feeling relief sooner rather than later. I offer virtual therapy for adults in Illinois and California, working with anxiety, depression, trauma, men’s issues, college or career stress, and more. If you’re overwhelmed and ready for real change, we can work together to help you feel steadier and more in control.

I approach therapy with curiosity, warmth, and genuine care. I believe real change happens when people feel truly seen and understood; not reduced to a list of symptoms. Because of this, I prioritize getting to know you as a person and adjusting our work to fit what you need. My style is collaborative, down-to-earth, and often includes humor when it feels helpful, with the goal of creating a space that feels safe, comfortable, and real.

You want someone on your side to help you in your life journey. You are always my priority. Research tells us that the top predictor of excellent clinical outcomes is therapeutic rapport. That means that a great clinical relationship with your therapist is more important than any particular treatment theory.

Our team brings years of real-world experience supporting teens and adults with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and low self-esteem— in everyday spaces where challenges actually show up.
Let’s be honest —you’re here because something feels off, and you’re tired of feeling like you’re falling short in a system that was never built for you. Being told to “just try harder” gets exhausting, especially when it doesn’t actually help. Our therapists understand this—both professionally and personally. We don’t see you as broken. We see someone navigating real challenges in a world that often asks too much. You don’t need to be “fixed”—you need support, understanding, and the right tools. We’re here to work alongside you and help you move forward in a way that actually fits your life.

You might find yourself caught in a cycle of worry, replaying scenarios in your mind, feeling trapped in a fog that just won’t lift. It’s exhausting, and you may feel isolated, as if no one truly understands the weight you carry. I want you to know that you’re not alone in this experience, and there is a path forward.

The world looks pretty bad…and only getting worse. Fear and guilt are running the show. The pressures of life are only pushing down harder each day as you slowly drift from panic into hopelessness. Exhausted by thinking in circles, holding yourself to standards you’d never hold others to, you beat yourself over the smallest mistakes. Fighting yourself only wearing you thin. Spinning in circles unsure if you will be able to find your way through as you continue to spiral. All of this energy spent, only to be lost in an anxious maze.

Self Esteem Therapists
When should a person seek therapy for low self-esteem?
When self-esteem problems begin to disrupt the healthy daily functioning of an individual, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If a person finds that they are not engaging with friends for fear of being judged, not completing work assignments because they don’t think they’re capable, or not finding romantic love because they don’t feel they’re worthy of it, a therapist may be able to help.

What are the signs of low self-esteem?
Low self-esteem is a common issue that can affect a person's mental and emotional well-being. Some common signs of low self-esteem include negative self-talk, perfectionism, social anxiety, difficulty making decisions, an inability to set boundaries, people-pleasing, and others. A lack of belief in oneself or one’s abilities and a feeling of not being worthy or deserving underlie most of these characteristics.

What causes low self-esteem?
Feelings of low self-worth can begin in childhood or adulthood. Being raised by a highly critical parent or growing up feeling constant disapproval can stay with a person well into adulthood. Specific issues in adulthood may also be a cause of low self-esteem. An unhappy relationship, a dysfunctional work or school experience can impact a person’s feelings of self-worth.

How can therapy improve self-esteem?
Therapists can help identify negative thought patterns that keep the client stuck in a loop of destructive self-talk and develop coping skills to change the voice in their head. A therapist can help with goal-setting, so that clients are better able to stay on task and build confidence from successfully completing work they’re proud of. Coaching a client on how to better communicate can improve relationships. These skills can result in someone with low self-esteem feeling empowered and living with less fear.
