I approach therapy with curiosity, warmth, and genuine care. I believe real change happens when people feel truly seen and understood; not reduced to a list of symptoms. Because of this, I prioritize getting to know you as a person and adjusting our work to fit what you need. My style is collaborative, down-to-earth, and often includes humor when it feels helpful, with the goal of creating a space that feels safe, comfortable, and real.

If anxiety, depression, or stress are making school, relationships, or daily life feel overwhelming, you’re not alone. Many people come in feeling stuck, exhausted, or like they’re falling behind no matter how hard they try. We work with teens and adults navigating this pressure. You don’t need to “try harder” or be “fixed.” You need support that actually fits your life and tools that make things more manageable. Together, we help you understand what’s going on and build coping skills so life feels more doable.

Men often encounter a wide range of problems related to divorce, loneliness and depression, addiction, social anxiety, work, anger, grief, parenting issues, etc...
Entering into therapy can be a difficult decision. My goal is to help make that transition easier by focusing on my client's strengths and abilities and encouraging a path of self-growth. I use a collaborative style, making the individual an active participant in the process. We will work to define the most serious problems, set realistic expectations, and focus on symptom reduction. My promise to all my clients is that I will respect them as individuals and work my hardest to improve their lives. The hardest part is often taking the first step, call to arrange for a free, no obligation 30 minute in person or phone consultation.

Anger surges, sometimes before you even understand why.
I’m here to help you slow this down and make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface. We’ll build coping skills first. Then, we’ll explore how past experiences shape your reactions. We’ll use structured support and targeted interventions to help you understand triggers, challenge patterns, and respond in ways that feel more intentional and aligned.

I find that I am most drawn to those struggling with anxiety, addiction, trauma, depression, and anger.
I am passionate about helping people break free from the traps they create for themselves. I live for overcoming "weak, fragile, broken, victim" narratives. I love helping people rediscover their valued selves and lives. I am always mindful that one’s experiences are true and valid, and even unhealthy coping has gotten clients through painful moments. If your world has been shrinking and getting smaller and smaller, I can help. Let's get you feeling better. I will help you cultivate a road map that guides you towards your values, while also problem-solving barriers, symptoms, and challenges to help equip you for the journey.

I help clients navigate anxiety, depression, anger, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm.
If you're a high-functioning woman facing ADHD, anxiety, depression, or burnout, your brain isn't broken, you've just been working twice as hard with the wrong tools. From the outside, you look like you have it all handled, the deadlines met, the people in your life cared for, the one everyone leans on. Inside, it's harder. Maybe you've been called "smart but scattered" or "too sensitive," and wondered why "just try harder" never worked. I help you understand how your nervous system actually works, so we can build focus, steadiness, and self-compassion instead of more pressure. There's a name for this, and a path forward.

I help clients cope with racial identity, trauma, depression, stress and anger management.
My training allows me to see the powerful connection between the mind, body, trauma, and development. I bring this perspective into therapy to make it informative, engaging, and dynamic. Therapy with me isn’t meant to be boring—it’s a working relationship that can be both supportive and challenging. I often describe it as being one puzzle piece in your journey: together, we break things down and rebuild them into a clearer, stronger version of you.

Anger Management Therapists
How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.

How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.

Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.

What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
