A dear friend once told me, “stand strong, warrior,” and that message has stayed with me throughout my own healing journey. I believe we all have warrior moments—quiet battles with anxiety, depression, trauma, or stress that others may never see, along with small but meaningful victories that deserve to be honored. If you’re here, you’re already taking a courageous step toward healing and self-growth. I support individuals who are managing a mental health diagnosis, healing from trauma or PTSD, navigating major life transitions, coping with burnout, or feeling disconnected from their sense of self.

You've learned how to move between worlds — different languages, expectations, versions of yourself depending on who's in the room. And maybe that's worked, for a while. But at some point, the weight of it catches up. You feel anxious, disconnected, or like you're living a life that fits everyone else but doesn't quite fit you. That tension — between where you come from and where you're going, between who your family needs you to be and who you actually are — is real, and it deserves real attention.

First responders and others carrying trauma, PTSD, grief, or suicidal thoughts often feel unable to take part in life roles that once brought satisfaction. You may be living with intrusive memories, numbness, shame, or restless nights that make daily tasks harder. Recovery is possible, and you do not have to face this alone. Trauma, grief, and suicidal thoughts can come from line-of-duty events, sudden loss, or long-accumulated stress; they often overlap and worsen one another. Together we'll slowly process these experiences, restore safety, and rebuild your sense of purpose.

Let me guess…You've tried a lot to feel better (yes, even therapy). But nothing’s changed and you still feel the same. You are looking for something different. You take really good care of yourself. Maybe you get some temporary relief but sooner or later you find yourself back where you started - lost, stuck and defeated. Maybe you’ve even tried therapy before but that didn't help either. You’re tired of running on overdrive and you have a sense that you need to go deeper with understanding your past, present and future connections.

My psychoanalytic approach differs from traditional talk therapy by focusing on the unconscious meanings in our speech, the impact of language on our symptoms, and how past experiences continue to influence our present lives.
I provide psychotherapy and psychoanalysis, specializing in anxiety, depression, trauma, sexual health, gender identity, and relationship counseling. As a psychoanalyst working in the Lacanian tradition, he creates a unique therapeutic space where patients can explore their unconscious through free association – speaking openly about whatever comes to mind, including dreams, recurring patterns, and the subtle ways language shapes our experiences and symptoms.

I believe in the transformative power of therapy and the healing potential of human connection. Therapy is also about finding the right fit in a therapist. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe to show up fully & authentically themselves, free from judgment, and supported in fostering self-compassion. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in deep respect for each person’s story. I have done my own work in therapy, so I know how life-changing it can be and how vulnerable it feels to sit in the client’s chair. I integrate somatic (body-based) awareness & mindfulness practices, & am guided by curiosity and care.

Psychoanalytic Therapists
Does psychoanalytic therapy work?
Psychoanalytic therapy derives from the work of Sigmund Freud. In this type of therapy, discovering buried thoughts and emotions from the unconscious will help a person work through their difficulties and negative behaviors. Research shows that psychoanalytic therapy can be highly effective, with patients reporting improvement in mood, quality of life, and overall well-being.

How long are people typically in psychoanalytic therapy?
Traditional psychoanalysis is in-depth and is conducted in five sessions every week. Today, modern psychoanalytic therapy is less intense and normally incorporates as few as one or two sessions a week. In some cases, positive change can occur quickly. However, if the condition, difficulty, or behavior is deep-seated, improvement may require many months or years of therapy.

Is psychoanalytic therapy suitable for young people?
Children and adolescents can benefit from this type of therapy. Many kids and teens are often unable to form and communicate their thoughts and emotions. Psychoanalytic therapy uses specific techniques such as dream analysis, symbolism, and free association or word association; all of which can be useful tools for less-communicative young people. Through this therapy, a patient will hopefully make connections between what they feel inside and how the world works outside.

Can psychoanalytic therapy be done online?
Modern-day psychoanalytic therapy is very different from traditional psychoanalysis. While an individual can sit face-to-face with the psychoanalyst for multiple sessions a week, they do not have to. Today, psychoanalytic therapy can be effectively conducted online or by phone. The key is that the individual confronts what is repressed and avoided, and this can be done whether in person or over online video.
