Velma is licensed social worker who holds a master’s degree in social work from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Velma has experience in providing clinical recommendations to both state courts and private agencies for children and families in the Illinois child welfare system. She is described as authentic, funny and kind and hopes to assist people on their path toward being a better version of themselves. She strives to offer guests hope with a different perspective, using both humor and silence. She is solutions oriented while believing that all guests come with their own processes.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and therapist, I love working with children, adolescents and young adults. Focusing primarily on ages 8 through 40, I work best with those struggling with family conflict, life transitions, trauma, behavioral issues, mood disorders and anxiety. Teens and young adults needing support during the transition to college, or children struggling with behavior and mood dysregulation are some of my favorite clients to work with. Those who are a part of the LGBTQ+ community, as well as those who struggle with eating disorders or substance use are also encouraged to reach out!

Jada is a licensed social worker who earned her bachelor of arts and science in psychology with a minor in sociology from Quinnipiac University. Jada also holds a master’s of arts in social work from the University of Chicago. Prior to joining Willis Counseling and Consulting, Jada worked supervising a mental health support and suicide prevention text line for teens. At WCC, Jada hopes to work with those age seven and older who struggle with addiction, anger, anxiety, body dysmorphia (BDD), boundaries, dating and relationships, decision making, depression and domestic violence.

Christine Romesburg, MSW, MBA, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over ten years. She is currently working on her doctoral dissertation focusing on PTSD and psychosis from Walden University in epidemiology and public health.Christine works to assist her patients in recognizing their overall thought processes and changing their negative perceptions and beliefs into more positive, motivating insights which will generate the change the patient desires.

My practice includes work with children, adolescents, and adults related to issues of depression, anxiety, trauma, sexuality, relational stress, identity, religion, and existential despair. I have experience working with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, mood dysregulation, trauma responses, adverse childhood experiences, sexuality, gender, youths exhibiting sexualized symptoms, painful life transitions, and strained family relationships. In working with adults, I am interested in delving into concerns of relational health, religious trauma, sexuality, and the impacts of society and systems on an individual.

Julie Rose understands that painful things happen--big traumas and small traumas that can take the joy out of life. With her extensive training and over 30 years of experience as a licensed counselor, Julie has the expertise to lead all kinds of people with all kinds of wounds on a life-changing journey of healing. Julie works from a Christ-centered framework and her goal is always to help you find your unique identity in God's bigger story. She loves helping women and men of all ages (even teenagers) find their true beauty and strength.

I provide counseling that centers on supporting a healthy means of helping clients on an individual, marital, and family level. Emotional responses to life stress often derail and distract us from adjusting and maintaining good health. In facing challenges it's important to take care of yourself and those you love by getting the support and help you need. Annette has been speaking, consulting and educating in the realms of Psychology for over 20 years. She is a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC)). Annette holds two Master Degrees from Loyola University Chicago, in Pastoral Studies and Counseling. Annette is trained in the Enneagram System and in Internal Family Systems. She spent nine years in pastoral ministry in both parish and university settings, and has worked in the mental health field within community mental health, hospital and private practice settings for more than 25 years.
