My ideal clients are adults navigating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, psychosis, personality disorders, or self-injurious behavior — often after feeling dismissed or misunderstood elsewhere. Many are looking for a therapist who sees them as the expert on their own experience, not just a diagnosis. Bilingual clients (English/Spanish) also seek me out for culturally responsive care. As a Certified DBT Clinician and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, I bring structured, evidence-based tools to help clients build emotional regulation and distress tolerance.

My ideal clients are adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, food and body image struggles, or the lasting effects of trauma. Many are looking for a space to slow down and feel heard without judgment, especially if past experiences felt too heavy to carry alone. My approach is warm, holistic, and trauma-informed — I prioritize safety and pacing, never pushing clients to revisit difficult moments before they're ready. Together, we attune to both mind and body, building sustainable tools clients can carry into everyday life.

Many people feel like we are living in a time where life’s challenges seem insurmountable. They can feel like they don’t have the tools to deal with daily life and relationships. They feel uncertain about seeking out help – because asking for help requires vulnerability and exposure. That’s why I believe that finding a therapist you can trust is so important. It is my goal to create a space in therapy where you can build trust, strength, and resilience. I work to give you the tools to deal with your concerns, root out patterns that are detrimental, and help you accomplish your goals in life and relationships.

Tim utilizes ACT, CBT, ICBT, and ERP to assist adults with depression, anxiety, other mood disorders, OCD, perfectionism, and ADHD.
Tim (he/him) believes good therapy is not just about connecting to another person, but also about understanding the context of our internal world: our thoughts, emotions, memories, desires, compulsions, and more. His approach is to help people change how they interact with their internal world in an effort to pursue a more fulfilling life, sometimes helping people define what that means to them along the way. In his experience this generally involves a lot of education, trust, and practicing how to use tools and exercises outside of sessions.

Life puts a lot on our shoulders and if we don’t pay attention to it we can put a lot of pressure on ourselves as well. We believe that therapy is a place for you to take a load off. Not worry about judgement. And dig into what is really on your mind and in your heart. It's likely you feel wired to help, to nurture, to understand, and to give. Oftentimes, we do this for everyone else but ourselves. The therapeutic process allows you to unpack and learn the patterns you have been creating for yourself that are likely not serving you and possibly causing you to feel stressed and frustrated but ultimately, STUCK.

Drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, and evidence-based approaches such as ERP, I support clients in cultivating greater clarity, self-acceptance, and a life more fully aligned with their values.
Hi, I'm Shannon. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety-related disorders including OCD, panic disorder, and agoraphobia as well as somatic symptoms, chronic illness, relationship concerns, and complex trauma. I especially enjoy working with high-achieving and deep-feeling individuals who grapple with chronic stress, people-pleasing, perfectionism, and burnout. I understand first-hand how these patterns often develop as ways to manage pressure or maintain control, yet over time, can lead to emotional exhaustion, self-doubt, and disconnection from one’s needs.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) Therapists
Do I need exposure and response prevention therapy?
Many clients decide to seek help for obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors when these symptoms are distressing enough to disrupt everyday life. Any thoughts or behaviors that cause friction in close relationships are also worth addressing. In addition, the client’s symptoms don’t have to be severe for them to benefit from ERP therapy.

Is exposure and response prevention therapy part of cognitive behavioral therapy?
Exposure and response prevention is one specific type of CBT that focuses on behavioral change in response to triggering stimuli. It is related to exposure therapy but adds an additional component of preventing compulsive and harmful responses.

How long does exposure and response prevention therapy take?
While every patient is different, exposure and response prevention therapy typically lasts around 12 sessions, although some treatments can take longer. A therapist will determine if the treatment is complete based on how the client faces their fears, particularly the strongest ones. When a client feels less anxiety about stimuli that once evoked terror or distress, that is generally an indication that they are nearing the end of ERP therapy.

What are the limitations of exposure and response prevention therapy?
The most common pitfalls of exposure and response prevention therapy include not addressing a client’s core fears, allowing the client to avoid their most distressing stimuli, and using imaginary exposure when the client requires real-life exposure (and vice versa). ERP therapy is most effective when the client commits to the full course of treatment; if the client stops early or doesn’t practice what they have learned outside of therapy sessions, they are less likely to have successful outcomes.
