My ideal clients are individuals navigating emotional, behavioral, or relational challenges who want a space where they feel genuinely seen and accepted. Many come to me after struggling with emotional regulation, anxiety, self-esteem, or relationship difficulties, looking for a therapist who meets them where they are rather than pushing them faster than feels safe. Using a strengths-based, relational approach, I help clients recognize their existing strengths while building new tools for emotional regulation, healthier relationships, and coping. Together, we move toward growth at a pace that feels sustainable.

If you’re carrying the weight of betrayal, infidelity, or sexual struggles that have caused pain and disconnection, you’re not alone. These challenges often come from deeper emotional wounds that were never given space to heal. My role is to help you make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface—to rebuild trust, reconnect with your values, and move toward a more grounded and authentic life.

I’m a therapist, but I’m not interested in helping people become more “put together” in the ways they’re often told they should be. Most of the people I work with are already thoughtful, capable, and high-functioning. But internally, something doesn’t quite fit. They’re exhausted from holding everything together, stuck in their own head, or quietly aware that the life they built no longer feels fully like theirs. This often shows up as anxiety, depression, numbness, irritability, burnout, or a persistent sense that something meaningful is missing.

Every person has a right to peace, joy, and rest. It's difficult to experience because...life. Marginalization and discrimination actively keep us from the fullness of life we deserve. Financial stress, burnout, and relationship conflicts compound and overwhelm. The "tools" to manage burn out or stress aren't enough and leave us feeling hopeless. There are ways to heal, slow down, and create joy. I am a queer therapist working with CTC, a Group Practice where the providers are Queer Identified/ Aligned and Trauma-Informed Professionals. My mission is to help people find Pleasure, Joy, and Fulfillment in their lives.

As someone who has sat on both sides of the therapist’s office, I deeply believe that healing is possible for everyone. I view the main vehicle for this change as connection: with me, with yourself, with your body, with others in your life, with your environment, and with broader social movements and communities. As your therapist, I will invest in building a safe and trustworthy relationship over time, through curiosity, authenticity, and transparency. It’s important to me to understand and address how power, oppression, and your multifaceted identities influence your life, as none of us heal in a vacuum.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT) Therapists
Who is DBT for?
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is designed for people who experience extreme emotional suffering because they lack the skills of emotion regulation and distress tolerance. The basic affliction can underlie a wide range of conditions, from borderline and other personality disorders to PTSD and treatment-resistant anxiety and depression. The therapy is helpful to those whose emotional reactivity is so intense it is disruptive to everyday functioning and leads to frequent crises.

Why do people need DBT?
The ability to regulate emotions is a core psychological skill that enables people to function in life and pay attention to the world outside themselves; it is consistently associated with well-being. DBT is designed to help people learn how to manage and regulate their emotions. Originally developed to treat people with borderline personality disorder whose extreme emotional suffering led to self-harming behavior and suicide attempts, the therapy is now applied to other conditions involving emotion dysregulation, particularly when other treatments have failed.

What happens in DBT?
Individuals meet weekly with their therapist to discuss their experiences relating to moods, behavior, and skills. Using checklists they maintain, they review emotional experiences and positive practices they engage in. The diaries help individuals discern what led up to a specific problem encountered, this is followed by discussion of the consequences of their actions. In addition, individuals may meet in class-like small groups to learn skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance.

How long does DBT last?
Because it is intended to establish long-lasting behavioral change among those with persistent problems, DBT is designed to last six months to a year. DBT includes both weekly sessions of individual therapy and weekly skills-training sessions conducted in small groups. Studies of DBT have documented improvement within a year of treatment, particularly in controlling self-harmful behavior; nevertheless, individuals may require therapy for several years.
