Life can sometimes take away bits and pieces of us, and make us forget who we are. We can sometimes feel lost and alone, and lose our drive to be our best selves. Have you found yourself in that position? Feeling as if you don’t know who you are, where you belong, and have no one to listen? I create a safe, confidential, non-judgmental space to allow you to find yourself again, whether it be in your family, your work, or your marriage.

I work with clients who deeply long for connection but often find themselves struggling to trust, feel safe, or fully open up in relationships. They may describe feeling stuck, caught in patterns they want to change but aren't sure how. Often they feel overwhelmed by their own reactions or are unsure of how to express their needs without fear or conflict. These clients are insightful, resilient, and ready to explore what's beneath the surface. Together, we work toward helping them feel more secure, grounded, and empowered to show up more fully in their relationships and in their own skin.

I became a therapist because I witnessed early in life how deeply our experiences shape the way we see ourselves, our relationships, and what we believe is possible. I wanted to create a space where people feel genuinely seen and supported while they heal and grow.
I specialize in helping adults work through anxiety, trauma, and the pressures of parenting and caregiving. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and grounded in real-life tools. I integrate modalities such as EMDR, trauma-focused CBT, and creative interventions like art and play when it feels right for the work we are doing.

We are all on our way into a storm, in the midst of a storm, or on our way out of a storm. What makes us emotionally & mentally healthy is how we respond to life's inevitable storms and their aftermaths. I strive to help you weather your storms; access and activate your hope, faith, & inner strength; and to find and utilize your firm and secure anchors. We can’t control the inevitable storms or life (past, present, or future). But, I strive to help you learn from & recover from past storms, make the changes necessary to cope with present storms, and to anchor our “ships” to safe harbors as we face future storms.

Do you feel like your needs are invisible to those around you? Do you question whether anyone truly loves you for who you are and not just for what you can do for them? What makes things worse is that you often prioritize helping others before meeting the very basic needs of your own. Sadly, this tends to go unnoticed by most. Well, it’s time to make you a priority for once. The most important life to save, nurture, and make stronger is yours. I am experienced, dedicated, and optimistic about helping you unlock the incredible possibilities that life has to offer.

As a therapist, I strive to meet my clients where they're at and increase their self-awareness, which in turn helps them understand their thoughts and feelings in relation to the problems at hand. I realize that my clients are the experts in their own life experiences, therefore, utilize an individualistic approach in working alongside them in efforts to restore emotional balance.

Therapy doesn’t have to be stiff or serious—I believe healing happens when we’re able to laugh a little while we can challenge old patterns. If being told to “just relax” makes you want to scream, we might be a great fit. I work best with overthinkers, perfectionists, and folks who resonate with “quiet BPD,” “high-functioning BPD,” Depression, anxiety, or OCD. Struggling with relationships? Do you find conflict scary? Let’s talk! We’ll work together to build the life you think is worth living for.
I specialize in working with teens (14+), adults, and older adults using Radically Open DBT and Mindfulness Training.

Are you looking for someone that feels a sense of alignment with a strength-based and person-centered approach when it comes to therapy? I want clients to be in the driver's seat of their therapy plan, while we explore healing together. When working with children, I like to take a lot of input from their families and work together as a team to help the family unit thrive. I thoroughly enjoy working with children and families and have been teaching parenting education to families for 4 years, working on strengthening family bonds and healing from trauma. This includes helping adults heal from childhood traumas.

The Wandering is different than most other counseling services. Why? Because I recognize that true healing is impossible with psychology alone. I believe Jesus must be at the center of all therapy. I incorporate Jesus into my therapy...and it works! There is a way out of whatever pain you are experiencing.

Female Therapists
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.
Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.
Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.
How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
