We all go through adverse life experiences that can take a toll on our emotional well-being. The stress of the past can sometimes end up following us and continuing to drive how we feel and the decisions we make. However, these hardships that we go through do not have to end up hindering our functioning and stagnating our growth. I also specialize in depression, self-esteem, anxiety, women and cultural issues. I have expertise in working with individuals who have experienced physical, emotional and/or sexual trauma or neglect during their childhood.

Are you tired of feeling lonely and misunderstood? Then let's talk, because you do not have to hide anymore or feel stuck. I feel like most people want change but do not know where to start, and that is where I come in. Therapy provides a non-judgmental space where humans can connect safely and express themselves freely. Together we can work together to free yourself from whatever is holding you back from being the best version of yourself.

I believe in the importance of meeting people where they are in the moment - not asking you to feel, look, or act like someone you are not. My therapeutic approach is centered around providing a caring space where you can safely share your thoughts free from judgement. I invite you to slow down and explore your values, emotions and life experiences to help gain a deeper understanding of yourself and relationships, including recognizing patterns that contribute to stress and anxiety. Together, we can begin the process of increasing self-awareness, practicing self-acceptance, and building practical skills to cope with life’s issues.

I am a caring individual who wholeheartedly believes that everyone I work with has the capacity of improving the quality of their life. I use my 30 years of therapy experience to help people overcome depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and other crises that may feel overwhelming to them. I start from a basic premise that most of our pain comes not from the behavior and communications of other but from how we interpret them. I work with people to improve their communications, their self-esteem, their capacity to love and receive love and to accomplish more of their life's goals.

As a professional, and a parent I truly understand there is no greater joy than seeing your child happy and healthy. I also know there is no greater heartache than seeing your child unhappy. For adults: stress, anxiety, and depression can diminish time with families. For children: poor self-esteem, decreased confidence, bullying/ loss, academic struggles or a disability can impact friendships, family, and academics. I specialize in working with people who have experienced a twist in life that they were not expecting. I have 25 years of treating adults and children who want to reclaim control of their lives.

There are times of life when emotional pain is overwhelming. During those times, working with a therapist brings relief, and helps those struggling to reach their potential. I specialize in providing that kind of help. For more than a decade I've counseled people of all ages, helping empower them to rely on personal strengths, discover a sense of purpose, and appreciate a greater sense of self worth. It's humbling to witness people demonstrate resilience when overcoming difficult issues. In my practice I guide clients as they discern how to be and feel their best.

Self Esteem Therapists
Self-esteem lives on a spectrum: Not enough self-regard (or low self esteem) can lead people to become depressed, or to tolerate abusive situations and relationships. Too much self-love (or high self-esteem), results in an off-putting sense of entitlement and an inability to learn from failure. And it's occasionally a sign of clinical narcissism. Quite the opposite of being shy or shyness, yet still on the same spectrum.
