Each individual has a different journey to walk, filled with obstacles unique to one's life. I walk with individuals as they explore the depths of their life stories and the impact that has had on who they are presently. In addition to exploring one's past we also deal with the here and now and explore what's keeping one from living freely and more fully in the world. My hope is that through our work together individuals will be able to find more degrees of freedom in their life and their relationships. I specialize in depth-oriented, psychotherapy.

Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have worked in the mental health field since 2015 in both community mental health and private practice settings. I have experience working with individuals (children, adolescents and adults), couples and families processing a myriad of concerns. Being black, Puerto Rican and a part of the LGBTQ community, I recognize the importance culture and background plays in life and in a therapeutic setting. I use client-centered, trauma-informed and evidence-based approaches to help clients move towards greater wellbeing and understanding of oneself and the world around them.

Someone who is ready to take action towards their personal goals and face emotions that have been persistent barriers from them living out their lives. Someone looking for support and skill development in a nonjudgmental and safe space. I am a firm believer in what you do outside of therapy that will optimally bring change. I can be the guide to help you there.

I approach the therapeutic relationship from a client-centered lens with an integrative treatment approach. This means that I work with each client to develop a unique treatment plan to address their specific needs. I do not utilize a one size fits all approach and I believe that the client is just as important in this process as the therapist is. I examine all aspects of a client’s perspective including the systems that impact them. Treating the whole person is an important aspect for me in my therapeutic engagement with clients. I believe that every person has value and is worthy of kindness.

Are you looking to understand more about yourself? Maybe I can help. I have had the pleasure of interacting with and learning from clients with diverse backgrounds. My clinical experience includes working in a hospital setting, a refugee resettlement agency, and a college. While I have experience working with a variety of issues, I take a special interest in working with young adults, neurodivergence, trauma, family-of-origin issues, and multicultural experiences.

I am here to support humans - children, teens, adults, and families - as they navigate the complex world of human emotion and relationships. We are all good people. A good life can be hard, complicated, challenging, and even a difficult life can be rewarding, fulfilling, and well-lived. I seek to join with those who are struggling with that complexity to help them achieve the goals they have for themselves, to help them cope with inherent disappointments, losses, and stressors, and feel the joy of personal growth.

Are you having difficulty coping with work, school, or life? Do you want to overcome trauma and reinvest in your life? Unique life experiences grew my passion for mental health. I am constantly learning and always willing to educate myself if it helps my clients. My therapeutic approach is creative and holistic (i.e., spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional). I constantly find strengths to move forward in a positive direction. Emphasizing a cognitive behavioral approach (CBT) to overcome thought patterns, behaviors, and emotions. Some essential tools that assist in developing a peaceful mind are meditation and mindfulness.

You knew that becoming a mother was going to be challenging. After all, sleep deprivation, diapers, and midnight feedings are bound to take a toll on anyone. But...you didn't quite expect to feel so 'out of sorts', emotionally. You didn't know that pregnancy and motherhood could come with constant worrying (what if I drop the baby when I'm going down the stairs? What if she gets sick? What if I'm just not cut out for this?), periods of feeling super low/depressed, and feeling totally overwhelmed by the mental load of it all. You wish things felt a little easier, and that you were confident in your ability to manage this new season.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and an EMDR Certified therapist and use a strengths-based approach to therapy. I believe that the healing power of an empathic relationship provides a safe space for an individual to safely explore their values and the ways in which they make meaning out of their experiences and interact with the world. It is within this exploration that individuals can begin to dislodge from stuck patterns and make choices that are in line with their values so they can live out their life in an intentional way.

My goal as a therapist is to demonstrate that therapy can be affirming, hard things can be explored, and "feelers" don't have to be so uncomfortable. Self-care and mindfulness can feel like buzz words, and I hope to find language and skills that fit into your philosophy's and life style. My therapeutic style is underlined by my compassion and candor, and guided by more than 10 years of experience working in a nonprofit agency. Emotionally loud individuals/families and not-so-helpful decision making are welcomed!

Life can throw a lot of stressors our way, and for many, this can lead to anxiety, shutdown, and/or feelings of overwhelm. Early childhood experiences have a significant impact on how we respond to stress. I specialize in treating complex or attachment trauma and have training in treatment modalities which support the brain’s and body’s natural capacity to heal. I work with teens, adults, and specifically therapists, to increase awareness of underlying patterns and assist in the healing of unprocessed events. My role is to provide support as we work together towards increasing your overall emotional capacity and regulation.

Feeling like you've been stuck lately? Do you want someone to talk to? We all need someone to understand us when we feel overwhelmed. I want my clients to be able to explore their vulnerabilities, stressors, & make positive & organic changes to their lives. Everything needs to be taken day by day & slowly. Nothing can be changed over night, but together we can work together.

I specialize in EMDR, trauma, relationship issues, self-worth issues, mood disorders, grief, eating disorders, and substance use.
In a world that tells us to be independent and mask our pain, reaching out for help can feel like a weakness or failure. I am here to tell you that there is strength in vulnerability and that you are not alone. We are built for connection and cannot heal in isolation. You deserve to reconnect with your values, to develop nurturing relationships, and to live as your most authentic self. I believe you are the expert of your own experience, and that the client-therapist relationship is collaborative. We will work together to develop a transparent, curious, and caring environment where you can safely and creatively explore your goals.
