I am a licensed psychotherapist and work predominately with adolescents, teens and adults on issues like anxiety, life transitions, relationships, overwhelm/stress, and emotional regulation. In therapy sessions with me, you can expect a warm, supportive, and calming space for us to connect so that you feel genuinely seen and heard. I use a holistic and client-centered approach that encourages you to be an active participant in your own growth and healing. My goal is to help empower you to investigate and enhance your most important relationship–the one with yourself–in order to live a life that feels rich, full, and authentic.

I believe people have innate strength and capability to solve their problems but that there are times we lose sight of our strengths or are overwhelmed by situations. We may feel shame, alienation or loneliness and often these feelings pervade our sense of self and our relationships. My role is to create an accepting and non-judgmental environment for you and to help you toward self-understanding, self-acceptance and positive change. I am honored that I am entrusted with one's vulnerabilities to hold and keep safe as we work together towards these goals.

Taking the step to get counseling takes a lot of courage. You are already on your way to reach your desired goals. I believe that everyone faces their own challenges and has their own unique experience, but you don't have to go through it on our own. It is my job to guide you in your journey to reach health and happiness. I work with adults, elders, and adolescents ages 12-17 with anxiety, depression, sexual trauma, and grief and loss. I also have special insights with people who are marginalized (BIPOC, LGBT+, Women etc.).

After 25 years in the corporate world, I love being a therapist! I came to this work to be authentic, direct, and conversational. I get that it feels weird to tell some stranger what’s bothering you… or worse the things you feel like you are screwing up. Often my clients tell me that after only the first session, they sleep better and finally feel like they aren’t floating or worse drowning in feelings they don’t know how to process. That is what I do. We’re going to address that and yes, I’ll be direct with you if there’s things you can change. I don’t have all the answers but together we can find ways to make things better.

When you sit down for an individual or couples therapy session, you can expect me to bring a special type of energy to therapy. I believe that my clients have the ability to create beautiful, long lasting change in order to facilitate more meaningful, loving relationships. I pay close attention to patterns and look to understand a person’s full story before examining the “issue” that’s bringing the client or clients in. I listen to understand and use a nonjudgmental, collaborative approach so that together we can explore, discuss, challenge thoughts and feelings, and create goals.

My primary focus is to empower individuals on their therapeutic journeys by utilizing artistic practices and expression. Life isn’t one size fits all so it’s only fair that your therapy ought not be. My approach is integrative and includes elements of trauma and culturally informed practices, IFS, EMDR, DBT, feminist/Queer relational, psychodynamic, and client centered modalities. As a practicing interdisciplinary artist l utilize a variety of approaches to art making in my personal practice. Embodying a creative approach to healing that centers both empowerment and agency is at the center of my clinical practice.

Masha Erofeeva, LCPC, has recently joined SpringSource Psychological Center and has immediate availability for new clients. Masha received her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Northern Arizona University. She works with individuals, couples, and groups, and is trained in CBT, Gottman Method, ERP, client-centered therapy and other traditional therapies. In addition, she incorporates Internal Family Systems, Polyvagal and Somatic Experiencing Therapies.

I believe that mental health is at the core of overall wellbeing, and I understand that seeking support for yourself or a loved one is not easy. That said, I aim to create a welcoming atmosphere where you feel comfortable, safe, and connected. In sessions, I will gently and appropriately challenge you to make incremental yet meaningful changes in your life. I will also provide you with effective and practical coping skills so you can support yourself in and outside of session. I am experienced in working with children, teens, young adults, and parents. I specialize in the treatment of OCD, anxiety, eating disorders, and depression.

Seeking help is a vulnerable process and one that doesn’t have to be done alone. No matter what you would like to work on, either individually or as a couple, I am committed to helping you find ways to reach your personal goals. In particular, I enjoy working with the LGBTQ+ community and welcome adults and couples of all identities. Additionally, I am body-positivity allied and work with body image, disordered eating and those seeking new and healthy ways to treat their bodies.

You’ve been thoughtful about the direction and choices you’ve made in life but you wonder: why don't you feel good about it? What ‘s gone wrong? Or, worse: just what’s wrong with me? I am currently accepting both in-person (Evanston) and online clients for therapy services starting the week of January 22, 2024! I utilize a compassionate, non-judgmental, trauma-informed approach where you can openly examine your mental health, who you are, what you believe, and how your experiences and interactions with society affect your life. I enjoy working with clients from all walks of life, particularly clients who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community, college students, and folks who are navigating life/spirituality after adverse religious experiences. I am a sex-positive practitioner and am kink and poly affirming.

I utilize values-based approaches to help my clients live their most fulfilling life. With a particular interest in ACT and DBT, I work to help individuals move toward their desires and goals confidently. I provide clients with tools for empowerment and self-assurance so that they have the ability to feel their very best. I believe in the power of personal narratives and in allowing each individual to tell their story free of judgement, shame, or guilt.
