I completed my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology at Universidad Iberoamericana and am currently pursuing a PhD in Social Work at Loyola University Chicago. I've gathered over 5000 clinical hours of international experience. My clinical approach is well suited to addressing the psychological impacts of life challenges, medical and health challenges, and trauma. Together we can connect and explore at your pace in a caring, empathic space with honest feedback, strategies for change, and a little humor.

It is hard to be a human. There are so many things happening externally and internally that make life a challenge. It's an unreasonable expectation that you are supposed to find a way to be who you want to be and live how you want to live without any help or support. It's unreasonable to expect ourselves to perfectly navigate all of the challenges of our relationships without a little help and support. Sometimes working with a professional can make all the difference.

Moving intentionally in the direction of change isn't always as straight-forward as we would like. You, your child, or your family may be facing a period of difficulty and struggling with coping, connection, and the way forward. My role is to assist by walking alongside you and guiding you and your family in seeing things that may be too overwhelming to face alone. Together, we will work on making sense of what happened, is happening, help you find clarity, and (re)build a sense of internal agency and purpose as well as relational cohesion and safety.

You may have experienced being shut down or misunderstood in spaces in which you thought you could be safe and appreciated. From those experiences, you may be questioning and wanting ways to assert yourself. You may be seeking ways to cope with systematic oppression and racism. You may be seeking ways to strengthen your relationships with friends, family, and partners. You’ve been wanting a space to speak with someone about these things in an environment that is reliable and affirming of who you are.

Tired of explaining what SnapChat is to your therapist? I too grew up with social media & Google induced anxiety. From all of the possible reasons why your stomach hurts, to opening an app and seeing what your ex is up to at any given time, how do you manage information overload in a rapidly changing world? If you’re feeling lost or anxious- welcome. While I’m a great listener, I’ll also help identify actionable steps to address immediate concerns & gently push you towards long-term, positive change in the process. It won't take long before you're a walking tool box of CBT, DBT, & harm reduction skills!

I work with individuals and couples striving to feel safe and heard in their relationships with themselves and with others. I particularly enjoy working with LGBTQIA+, TGNC clients moving through various stages of transition and identity development. I am passionate about working with those who have experienced complex/developmental trauma. I am also interested in working with folks who experience disordered eating in order to help improve their relationships with food and their bodies.
