You don't have to spend your energy "pushing away" the past just to get through today. I help people who are tired of painful memories interrupting their daily lives. Together, we’ll work on processing those experiences so they no longer hold power over your present, giving you the space to finally lead the fulfilling life you deserve.

Something shifted and you are not sure when it happened. The life you built is still here, the relationships, the routines, the roles you have played for decades. But the person standing inside all of it feels different. Older in ways that have nothing to do with the number. The body moves differently. The mirror shows someone you are still getting used to. The children are grown. The career is winding down, or already has. And in the space where the next chapter is supposed to be, there is more quiet than you expected. Not peace, exactly. Just quiet. And underneath it, a question you have not said out loud yet: who am I now?

You give and give and give. You know how to take care of everyone else, the appointments, the needs, the middle-of-the-night moments, the emotional weight no one else seems to notice. And your own needs? They went on the back burner so long ago you stopped checking. Now the chest is tight. The sleep is not restful. You wake up already tired and push through on fumes because stopping feels impossible. You tell yourself this is what love looks like. But love should not leave you running this empty. Your body has been sending signals. The question is whether anyone is going to finally listen to you the way you listen to everyone else.

On the outside, you’re holding everything together—work, family, school, and relationships. But inside, you feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and stretched thin. You may be a professional, a mom, or a student trying to keep up with expectations while silently struggling. I help high-functioning women and young adults who are used to pushing through but are ready to feel more balanced, supported, and like themselves again. You don’t have to keep doing this alone.

Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, self-doubt, or relationship dynamics they can’t quite name. Maybe you’re juggling school, work, family expectations, or a major transition while trying to stay connected to who you are. Maybe you’ve noticed that coping skills that once worked don’t work as well anymore. You want to feel grounded, strengthen your voice, and build inner resilience rooted in your core priorities. In our work together, you’ll have a safe space to sit with your emotions, understand what keeps you feeling stuck, and move toward confidence and clarity.

On the outside, things look handled. Responsibilities get met. People rely on you. You show up how you are supposed to. Inside, it feels different. Overwhelmed. Disconnected. Stuck in patterns that keep repeating no matter how much effort goes into pushing through. A lot gets carried without being said. Everything stays together, but something deeper keeps asking for attention. You pray. You scroll. You push through. You tell yourself this is just how life feels sometimes. Then it hits again in a quiet moment. That part of you never left. Still there. Still waiting. Still asking, when do I get to be real again?

Life can be overwhelming at times, and many people find themselves carrying stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, or major life transitions on their own. I know how meaningful it is to have support, and I also know how difficult it can feel when that support isn’t always there. My goal is to provide a nonjudgmental space where you can show up exactly as you are. Together, we can explore what’s weighing on you, build on your strengths, and work toward the growth, balance, and well-being you deserve. You don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone, and I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.

The list never ends. You know that by now. You finish one thing and three more appear. You take care of everyone at work and everyone at home and somewhere in the middle of all of it, the question of what you actually need stopped feeling relevant. You are competent. You are dependable. You are the person people call when things fall apart. And the voice in your head, the one that grades everything you do, is never satisfied. You do more and it wants more. You rest for a moment and it calls that lazy. You have been measuring your worth in output for so long that you have forgotten you had worth before any of it.

Grief doesn't follow a schedule. You know that better than anyone. One moment you're fine, moving through the day, checking the list, holding it together and then something small breaks the surface and you're right back in it. The weight of it is unlike anything you expected. It sits in your chest, shows up in your sleep, follows you into rooms where you're supposed to be present for other people. You keep waiting to feel like yourself again. Every day you tell yourself it will pass. You keep going through the motions regardless. And underneath all of it, the same loop trapping you in your own mind: when does this get easier?

Nobody sees it. That is the thing nobody ever talks about. You show up. You take care of everyone. You say the right things at the right times, hold the family together, meet every expectation, and smile through the exhaustion. And somewhere in all of that, you disappeared. Not all at once. Slowly, over years, without anyone noticing. The version of you that had her own wants, her own voice, her own way of moving through a room, she got quieter and quieter until you stopped noticing she was gone. You are not broken. You are functioning. But functioning is not the same as living, and deep down, you already know the difference.

You can see it happening and you do not know how to reach them. Your child is struggling, shutting down, acting out, pulling away, carrying something they cannot put into words. Inside, there is a whirlwind they have no map for. You are doing everything you can and it still feels like not enough. The family is stretched. The tension sits in every room. And underneath the worry is a question you are almost afraid to ask: what if this gets worse before it gets better? You are not looking for someone to fix your child. You are looking for someone who gets it, who meets your family where it is and walks with you through this together.

You are good at your job. That is not the problem. The problem is that somewhere between the deliverables and the deadlines and the performance you have kept up for years, you lost track of the person doing it all. You wake up tired and push through anyway. You tell yourself this is temporary, that things will slow down, that you will feel better once this project closes or this quarter ends. But the projects close and the quarters end and the feeling does not change. Underneath the competence is something that has not been named out loud yet, an exhaustion that sleep cannot touch. Nobody asks. Nobody knows.

Does insurance cover therapy, prescriptions and other behavioral health services?
In general, yes. Laws in the U.S. require insurers to cover essential behavioral health care at the same level as other health care services. Most health plans require a medical diagnosis and treatments that are evidence based and medically essential. This means that life coaching and alternative therapies are not covered, nor is therapy without a diagnosis. Call the number on the back or your insurance card or visit your insurance company's website to review your Summary of Benefits. If you have insurance through your employer, your Human Resources department may also be able to answer questions.

How much does therapy cost with insurance?
The cost of therapy depends on your region, how much training and experience your therapist has, and the type of treatment. The rate for talk therapy generally falls between $100 and $250. For a client seeing an in-network provider, the cost of therapy is often similar to the cost of other health care services. Clients pay co-pays and may need to satisfy a plan’s deductible before benefits kick in.

What is the difference between In-Network and Out-of-Network insurance coverage?
An in-network provider has contracted with an insurer to get paid directly for services, and to accept the insurer’s rate of compensation. Clients are responsible for deductibles and copays. If a therapist is out of network, that means that the client pays the therapist directly for services at the therapist’s regular fee. Out-of-Network providers often give clients a receipt so that they can file for partial reimbursement with their insurance company.

Is it difficult to find an In-Network therapist?
It is not unusual for therapists to limit the number of insurance patients in their practice, so it’s important to check in-network availability when you schedule your first appointment. In regions and times where therapy is in high demand it may take longer to get scheduled with an in-network therapist.

What is the difference between HMO and PPO insurance plans?
HMO health plans only cover in-network services, there is no reimbursement for out-of-network providers. PPO plans often cover both in- and out-of-network services, though the client may pay more for out-of-network services.

What is a Superbill?
A superbill is a receipt for therapy services. It provides all the information required by insurance companies to reimburse you for out-of-network services, including the diagnostic codes for your care, the amount paid, and the dates and duration of care.

Does insurance cover Online therapy?
Many therapists who shifted their practice to online therapy during the pandemic have kept that arrangement. And most insurers continue to cover telehealth services, with a few exceptions. Preventive care (such as an annual depression screening) is often required to be in-person to be covered, and some states require prescribers of controlled substances to see those patients in person.

Does insurance cover Group therapy?
Many insurance plans provide coverage for group therapy provided there is a medical diagnosis for group members, but there are some noteworthy exceptions. For example, Medicare does not always cover group therapy. Group therapy tends to cost less than individual therapy.

Does insurance cover Couples therapy?
Most insurance companies do not cover the cost of couples therapy because there is no medical diagnosis or medically necessary treatment. However, a few plans will offer a limited benefit, so it is still worth checking with your insurance company. Sometimes therapy is covered for a couple when one person has a diagnosis and another family member joins them for joint therapy, but it is considered therapy for the medical condition that includes a family member as a listener or helper, not couples counseling. Without insurance, most clients pay between $100-300 per 60-90 min session for couples therapy. Often clients can find classes or workshops that make it more affordable to work on their relationship. And some employers offer benefit plans that help defray the cost of couples therapy. Learn more about Insurance Coverage and Finding Affordable Therapy
