60% of why you get better in therapy is the therapeutic
relationship
and the other 40% are techniques to reprogram how you have been operating until now.
Hi, I'm Adam Pearson, I have a Master's in Clinical Psychology and was trained by a Psychiatrist for 2 years. I use a variety of techniques and tools. Therapy is typically 8-16 weeks, around 8 weeks your symptoms should be going from Severe to Moderate, and 16-18 weeks moderate to mild. I practice from a faith based perspective but all are welcome. You can text, call or email and I usually can see a new patient within 48-72 hours. I had PTSD, Depression, OCD and am now free. Now it's your turn! This is where you learn to love and like yourself, maybe for the first time. I have helped 1000s. This is your flying lesson!

The world is a noisy, busy place, and I believe that therapy can create a space to slow down and allow for you to be heard and supported. People are fascinating and everyone is dealing with some level of struggle and discomfort. I’m not afraid to dig into the uncomfortable through patience, empathy, acceptance, and thoughtfulness with a side of tough love, laid back attitude, humor, and out-of-the-box approaches. My specializations include trauma, crisis, anger management, anxiety, depression, survivor’s guilt, everyday life stressors, and self-image/perception issues.

Also with individuals experiencing panic attacks, high anxiety,
relationship
difficulties, depression, and low self-esteem.
Stuff happens that affects our thoughts, emotions and behaviors. I believe your mind works fine. But a facet of your mind is causing you to respond or feel in ways that make life more difficult than it should be. This ongoing emotional distress or pain is not helping you be more effective in your life. I will help you address that 'facet of mind' to unplug the emotional pain and irrational thinking, so that your thoughts and energy are moving you towards what is valuable in your life.

Couples Counseling Therapists
Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.
When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.
How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.
How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
