I’m a therapist who specializes in perinatal issues including postpartum depression and anxiety, adjustment to motherhood/parenthood, intrusive thoughts, infertility, miscarriage, and infant loss. I have training in working with gender-based violence such as sexual assault, rape, and domestic violence. I also have experience assisting clients with anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-harm, and trauma. I have experience working with different genders, sexual orientations, racial/ethnic backgrounds, and socioeconomic status.

Hello, my name is Jessica- I am a licensed clinical professional counselor. I am passionate about assisting clients with many diverse presenting challenges, some of which include anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, self-injury, self-acceptance, relationship struggles, self-esteem, and identity formation. I enjoy working with clients ranging from teens to adults and have a broad range of experience working in school, hospital, PHP/IOP, and outpatient mental health settings.

My style is direct and casual, balanced with non-judgment and respect for your autonomy to support your authentic exploration and work towards connection, change, and healing. I have extensive experience with adolescents/young adults (ages 14-30), including queer, trans and nonbinary folks; parents; and adults navigating the general challenges of being a modern human in 2023.

My passion is understanding stored childhood trauma and the long-term effects it can have on adults; particularly as it relates to addiction issues. Unresolved traumatic experiences very often render a person with feelings of anxiety and depression; particularly for those who were never given the appropriate tools and support to process their trauma. These emotional states can lead to poor coping skills in our efforts to meet life’s challenges, and very often anxiety and depression can lead us to feeling incapable of helping ourselves or ever changing our circumstances and clearly seeing our potential.

I assume you're here because you're struggling in some way, and that whatever you've been doing in your life to deal with your pain simply isn't working any longer. My clients usually find me through some kind of loss - a divorce or relationship upset, illness, or other transitional experience, often accompanied by difficult feelings and behaviors. For more than 15 years I've been working with individuals, couples, and families, helping them to get in touch with their feelings and emotions, related to these painful experiences.

My goal is to help my clients understand all parts of themselves and uncover what parts may be holding them back; while learning tools to help break these disruptive cycles.
