I specialize in helping couples stimulate and rejuvenate their relationship. It is very natural for long-term relationships to become routine and the intimacy that was once shared starts to slow down and becomes non-existent as life takes over. The great news is that your relationship can be fun and intimate once again with some rejuvenation and stimulation. I developed the L.I.K.E.S. Coaching program to help couples enhance their Love and Intimacy with each other while learning the art of Kinks, Eroticism, and Seduction. I specialize in female sexuality to help the woman achieve or enhance her sexual and orgasmic experience.

You're starting to see a pattern in your reactions, and it's not sitting right. Anger surges, sometimes before you can stop it. After, you're left replaying what happened, trying to understand why it felt so intense. At night, your mind goes back to moments you can't fully make sense of - experiences that still carry weight, even when you try to move past them. You know these reactions don't come out of nowhere. They're related to past pain, but you can't quite connect the dots. You're ready to face what's underneath, not just manage the surface, and finally understand why these patterns keep showing up in your life.

I see couples dealing with issues of conflict, poor communication, infidelity, blended family challenges, or other matters interfering with relationship harmony. I see men over 18 years of age experiencing mental health challenges including depression or anxiety, managing employment stress, coping with relationship issues, grief, or concerns of adjusting to retirement or issues of aging, or problems managing anger. The "ideal" client is a man or couple committed to change, open to self-examination, and willing to do the work necessary to alter dysfunctional behavior interfering with personal life goals or intimate relationships.

I work with people who feel stuck in patterns that leave them anxious, overwhelmed, or questioning themselves. These struggles may be connected to difficult family experiences, painful relationships, or challenges that have built over time. Having grown up in a family affected by mental health challenges and family crisis, I know firsthand how isolating and overwhelming it can be when life seems to be falling apart. I also know that healing is possible, and if you’re willing to do the work, meaningful change is absolutely within reach.

Finding the right therapist—especially online—can feel overwhelming. I’m Nikki, a licensed social worker and holistic therapist who believes that true healing happens when you feel seen, safe, and supported. My approach honors the whole person—mind, body, and nervous system—because lasting change doesn’t come from talking alone; it comes from understanding why your system learned to cope the way it did and gently creating new pathways forward. My style is warm, integrative, and attuned. My approach is both cognitive and experiential—so insight doesn’t just make sense, it feels different in your body and daily life.

Is every day life pulling you down? Do you feel overwhelmed or are you looking for a sense of direction? I have frequently found that people wait a while before finally making a decision to try therapy. Most of them comment that they wish they would’ve done this sooner. So much growth, awareness, and contentment can come from this process. I work with a wide variety of approaches, such Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). These are highly regarded in dealing with such issues as anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma.

My work is my passion. In a non-judgemental way, I allow each person to share their own personal story with me. In an initial telephone consultation, I take the time with each person to talk, to make certain I know what issues they need help with, and to make certain that person feels comfortable talking with me. In my work with clients, I respect them and their personal values and beliefs while helping them to achieve their own personal goals. I create a comfortable office atmosphere for clients in which to talk about their personal issues.

As a Clinical Psychologist I believe that safety and connection are primary tenets of the therapeutic process. My philosophy is anchored in the belief that lasting psychological healing is grounded in hope, which I see as intentional and strength based engagement with one's life. As individuals we have the need to be seen, heard and valued. Navigating the daily stressors of life, finding hope when feeling lost or down, or reconnecting to oneself after a loss or end of a relationship are just some of the things that we can work on leveraging your own strengths and resilience.

Men's Issues Therapists
Is therapy for men different than it is for women?
Therapeutic treatments and types are the same for men as they are for women, with the same protocols followed and the same strategies employed. Discussing one’s feelings and emotions is an integral part of most therapies, and some men find doing so more challenging. Therapists can help clients through the process; some specialize in treating men for this reason.

How do you encourage a man to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either himself or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can men prepare for therapy?
Men can prepare for therapy by approaching the process with an open mind, being willing to talk about their challenges, and giving treatment the time to work. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. It can be useful for men who struggle to recall their emotional states to write down notes between sessions about their response to a given event or how they were feeling at a particular time.

What should men know about the process of therapy?
One of the most common reasons men don’t seek therapy is the notion that there’s something wrong with them if they do. Men should know that just because they’re seeking therapy doesn’t mean they’re mentally ill or damaged in some way. In the same way people work on their bodies through exercise or a craft through practice, therapy can be a way to improve the mental and emotional skills needed to be productive and effective partners, employees, and people in all realms of life.
