As a therapist, I strive to meet my clients where they're at and increase their self-awareness, which in turn helps them understand their thoughts and feelings in relation to the problems at hand. I realize that my clients are the experts in their own life experiences, therefore, utilize an individualistic approach in working alongside them in efforts to restore emotional balance.

Helping others find peace, healing and empowerment is the center of my work as a therapist. Drawing from several theoretical approaches, I have helped individuals work through trauma, family conflict, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. I offer a safe place to help individuals heal past wounds, improve relationships and restore balance.

I've been in practice for over 30 years and in that time have continued to appreciate the amazing strengths and courage that people have, despite their self-doubt. It is the challenge to unravel the doubt that keeps me energized, but humbled by the amazing courage most of my clients possess in dealing with their struggles. It is my hope that I somehow can assist them in appreciating themselves and the systems from which they come and exist, but how they truly can be creators of change in their lives.

I am an anxiety and depression therapist. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have 25+ years of experience working with individuals who are struggling with symptoms of anxiety, depression, or other mental health or substance use disorders. In the fast-paced world we live in, we are constantly facing heightened feelings of stress caused by workplace, parenting, family, couple or other relationship conflicts. Unfortunately, for many, alcohol or drugs are used to “manage” the difficult times. I'm Justin Kozak. Many of the patients I have helped, voluntary and court ordered, have tried multiple ways to address their problems, including seeing different therapists and/or taking medications, but have not progressed much. Many treatment approaches are superficial, focusing on reducing the number or severity of symptoms or offering only coping skills. However, these approaches most often only provide temporary relief, but never address the underlying causes of those symptoms. A reduction in symptoms is almost never what struggling people are looking for; instead they want to know where and why problems started and how to fix them permanently.
