This has been such a hard season for many individuals and families navigating challenging issues with grief and loss. Most of my work has been providing support to children, adolescents, and adults during stressful experiences and transitions. My job allows me the privilege to witness the resilience and strength of individuals as they move through unexpected challenges. I believe it is important for all people to have a safe, non-judgmental, authentic space to feel validated and to help bring balance and healing to their life. I also work with therapists and medical providers who experience trauma and loss at work.

We are a faith-based (Catholic) therapy practice, and our passion is to help you heal in order to fully live the life God created you for. Life can be difficult and there are many things that happen. Sometimes it is a diagnosis like anxiety, ADHD, or depression but other times it is too much stress, a life transition, or difficult relationships that causes hardship or pain. I have worked in community mental health care, intake and referral services, and substance abuse treatment. While there, I worked with children, adolescents, and adults with mood disorders, substance abuse concerns, transitions, men’s issues, relationship difficulties, social skill needs, attention difficulties, trauma history, and self-esteem issues, among others. I am passionate about helping clients find their way.

Katelyn is a Associate Marriage & Family Therapist. She has a well-rounded experience in working with clients from all walks of life – primarily with individuals (18 and up), couples, and families with expertise ready to serve you. Some of her specialty areas include but are not limited to, anxiety, depression, anger, adjustment disorders, bullying, grief, parenting, communication, life transitions, self-esteem, identity, sex therapy, women’s issues, and resilience.

I believe in the innate dignity of all people, and the work I do as a counselor is to encourage and empower people to live up to their personal values and embrace a more abundant life. When I work with a client I meet them where they are, without judgment, and enter into a working relationship built on trust, empathy, vulnerability, and communication. I have a person-centered approach to therapy, meaning that I respect the people who walk into my office enough to trust them to make decisions for themselves. I believe change is inevitable, but also, often painful, but that doesn't mean we can't work to find hope and grace.

I am a Therapist and have been providing mental health services for 7 years in outpatient and in home settings. I specialize in working with children aged 0-12 who are experiencing behavior problems, emotional dysregulation, anxiety, OCD, ADHD/executive function challenges, depression, grief and loss, poor self-concept, identity confusion, gender issues, school refusal, educational issues, PTSD/trauma, and social issues. I am adept at providing parents the guidance and support needed for them to be able to facilitate their child’s growth and healing.

She strives to create a safe, therapeutic space and collaborative process. Dr. Primm specializes in treating adults facing challenges with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, social anxiety, and prenatal/postpartum mental health issues.  Dr. Primm also works with children, adolescents, and their families. Her areas of specialty with this population include school and behavioral issues, exposure to trauma, and adjustment concerns.
