As a solution focused and person-centered counselor, my goal is to help you feel better as soon as possible. I teach my clients practical skills to combat negative thoughts and feelings. My passion lies in helping individuals learn ways of coping with their depression and anxiety, as well as life's many obstacles that are affected by these common conditions. Helping individuals and couples who are suffering from infertility has become another area of focus I am devoted to. My knowledge of the causes, testing and treatments for infertility serves my clients well as they navigate the overwhelming, and sometimes isolating, process.

Utilizing depth psychology, psychodynamics, CBT, DBT, and creative modalities, I work to recognize the root of the issues. Drawing on 20+ therapies, I seek to guide people to discover their gifts, understand dreams, and develop integrity-filled, meaningful lives. By gaining vital knowledge of the psyche, clients learn to understand themselves to empower them to reduce symptoms and make inner and outer changes. Additionally, I provide professional consultation and supervision to helping professionals seeking to develop their skills or prepare for licensing. Aiding other clinicians development is a great joy in this part of my career.

Change is difficult and the best way to facilitate it is to approach it with gentleness and compassion. We are in a constant state of having to make decisions and respond with our best ability at every given moment. Many of those decisions may leave us questioning what we did to bring us to the crisis we are feeling today. The crisis may be the reason our relationship with ourselves has become distressed and disconnected.

I use Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT) which was created by Dr. Jon Connelly at the Institute for Rapid Resolution Therapy, Inc. and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for adults. I specialize in treating emotional, physical and sexual abuse survivors, people who have PTSD, trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, heartbreak, social anxiety, anger, shame, resentment, and regret, to name a few.

Reaching out for help can sometimes be the hardest part. Many of us function under the idea we should be able to figure it out on our own. But unfortunately that’s just not always true. We often build walls and create patterns just to survive. That’s the truth of it all, you’re a survivor because you’re here. My goal is to help my clients understand all parts of themselves and uncover what parts may be holding them back; while learning tools to help break these disruptive cycles.
