I’m a transgender EMDR-certified and ERP-trained therapist who works with LGBTQ+ adults navigating complex trauma, dissociation, and OCD.
I begin with a thorough assessment so we can custom-fit your treatment plan. For trauma, I use guided imagery, parts work, and somatic tools to build safety before reprocessing with EMDR. For OCD, I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to help you stay present with fear in your body without defaulting to the compulsions that temporarily relieve it.

For clients with OCD, I provide Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Inference-Based CBT (ICBT), a newer approach to treating OCD that focuses on targeting the doubt that leads to underlying intrusive thoughts and compulsions.
I work with young adults who are interested in building knowledge and tangible skills for managing worry, stress, sadness and doubt. Many of my clients find themselves revisiting the same thing: replaying social interactions, re-evaluating past decisions, or questioning if they are a responsible or good person. Others have desire for change in their lives, yet are struggling to feel motivated, are exhausted by daily responsibilities, or feel lost about the next steps. I also work with LGBTQ+ clients who may be facing additional stress related to their identities, are navigating family dynamics, or just want an affirming therapist.

I help clients experiencing anxiety, OCD; navigating life transitions; and those in helping professions.
We live in an increasingly disconnected society. Many of us feel isolated, worried, overwhelmed, and stuck as we navigate the often conflicting demands of our personal, professional, and social worlds. We look at how we habitually respond under stress and are curious about trying something new. We wonder if it's possible to build new or deeper relationships, or bring calm to turbulent ones. We seek to find what ignites our own sparks after nurturing the sparks of others for so long...

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Therapists
How long does OCD treatment take?
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.
What happens if OCD is not treated?
Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.
Are there medications for OCD?
Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine (under the brand name Luvox), fluoxetine (Prozac), and sertraline (Zoloft), among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.
Can OCD come back after treatment?
Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
