I enjoy working with diverse individuals from all walks of life as my experience has been eclectic. Working with folks who need to temporarily borrow some hope as they build themselves up is a welcome experience. Lindsey strongly believes that the therapeutic relationship is the forefront of therapy and the foundation for change. She utilizes a variety of treatment approaches and techniques in order to meet the client's individual needs and keep therapy at a level at which they are comfortable. She works with children, adolescents, and adults, dealing with a wide range of issues; however, she specializes in anxiety based disorders, including Obsessive Compulsive Disorder ( OCD ). Symptoms of anxiety and OCD can be debilitating. Many individuals struggle to cope with fears, obsessions, trauma, and phobias, but there is a way to find relief. As a clinician with extensive training in treating anxiety, OCD , and PTSD, I can help you challenge barriers. An imperative part of treatment is being able to increase functioning and decrease maladaptive behaviors to help increase quality of life. Using ethical and evidence-based treatment, we can work towards goals that will help you gain your life back.

Emotional pain has a way of making life feel narrow and less enjoyable. In therapy, I help clients to focus on what gives them joy, excitement, and meaning in life, and to identify valued goals. As clients get closer their goals, unforeseen obstacles can crop up, and these roadblocks may cause stress or hardship. I offer a variety of coping skills to help people overcome such obstacles. These skills include stress management, mindfulness, assertiveness, confronting fears, and many, many more!

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor that has worked extensively with individuals struggling with relationship dissatisfaction and other relational issues, depression, anxiety, anger and emotion management, emotional eating, panic attacks, trauma, struggles with self-esteem, stress-management and burnout, difficulties with parenting or co-parenting, career related hurdles and work dissatisfaction, adult ADHD, OCD , and intrusive thoughts.

My clinical focus is on individuals struggling with depression, stress/anxiety, OCD , substance abuse, adjustment to life transitions, relationship distress, and parenting support. I believe that it is important to understand what brings each person into therapy, and tailor therapy to each individual's unique needs and goals.

Everyone feels distressed, helpless, or hopeless and needs some extra support at some point in their lives. It can feel very overwhelming to start therapy, whether it’s your first time or beginning to work with a new therapist. Every reason for starting the therapy process is valid and it takes courage to reach out for support. Whatever is important to you will be addressed at a pace that’s comfortable. The step you are taking today is often the most difficult part and I'm here to walk alongside to help you through it.

Scrolling on...If I asked you to list 5-10 ways to decrease anxiety, improve your relationships, or reach your goals, I bet you could think of at least a few examples fairly quickly. Maybe, you've already tried those strategies yourself. Thankfully, Mental Health strategies and theories are not in short supply. However, just because you might know what you're "supposed to do" to feel better, change your thought patterns, or improve your family dynamics doesn't mean it's easy to actually do it. Humans are endlessly adaptive, yet persistently stubborn. We just need to figure out what works for you.

I focus on creating a therapeutic environment where you feel empowered to recognize direction for change and overcome barriers to achieve personal fulfillment. We will utilize a cognitive and solution focused approach to work through each situation and uncover the best strategy to help you move forward to achieve your goals. Through my own personal experiences, education and professional experience at varying levels of care, I understand the impact anxiety can have on one's life. Our clients want someone on their side. They are self-motivated, enjoy humor, and are willing to try new things if it makes sense to them. Some want relief from depression, or various forms of anxiety. Others struggle with addictions and addictive behavior and are looking for ways to not feel powerless. Or, they have concerns about their kids and their behavior, or ADHD, and would like someone to come along side them to help support them or meet with their child.
