My job, as I see it, is not to fix you, but to help you fix yourself. To do that, I help you find the tools you already have and remind you that - on some deep level - you already know how to use them. My approach is cognitive, because I believe the way we think about our lives helps create them.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) offers a non-pathologizing mental health approach, welcoming and integrating all parts for holistic healing. In addition to clients with trauma, I specialize in ethically non-monogamous adults. I address internal conflicts, societal stigma, and emotional challenges. Working together in an explorative space, we enhance relationship satisfaction, foster emotional resilience, and guide self-discovery.

Emotional pain has a way of making life feel narrow and less enjoyable. In therapy, I help clients to focus on what gives them joy, excitement, and meaning in life, and to identify valued goals. As clients get closer their goals, unforeseen obstacles can crop up, and these roadblocks may cause stress or hardship. I offer a variety of coping skills to help people overcome such obstacles. I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy. D.), a Masters of Science in Clinical Psychopharmacology, and 7 years of experience working as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). I have conducted treatment for individuals, couples, families, and groups. I have extensive expertise in clinical psychopharmacology, which enables me to comprehend the biological foundations of diseases. I have experience working with both adolescents and adults to address a wide range of illnesses. I take a holistic approach to counseling, which means that in addition to ACT, DPT, CBT, and mindfulness, I use a combination of other techniques.

I've worked in the mental health field since 1980. I look at therapy as a collaborative enterprise between client and therapist, with the aim of improving quality of life. I value a gentle, accepting way of looking at life problems, with an emphasis on understanding, rather than judging or condemning, oneself and others. Bridget DeLuca, PsyD, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor, who has been practicing since 2017. She graduated from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University - Schaumburg with a master's and Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology. Bridget believes in an Integrative Approach when working with Clients. She tends to begin with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and a strength-based supportive approach, but tailors each session to each individual person as not everything works the same on everyone.

I offer both in-person and virtual sessions. My approach to counseling is truly getting to know and understand who my clients are in an open environment. I love having genuine and honest conversations without any judgement to fully connect with my clients. I value humor, transparency, honesty, and self-awareness in his interactions. I have been a professional psychotherapist for the past 30 years. Early in my career, most of my focus was on the treatment of children, adolescents and families, often referred some of the most difficult cases from local schools, courts and police departments. As my practice evolved, so did my experience working with adult individuals and couples.
