Licensed in Illinois and Missouri, I offer support to hurting children, adults, and families by providing emotional safety, sharing compassion, and helping my clients to learn and apply new skills as needed. Passionate about issues that have resulted from attachment and relational wounding I have specialized in treating issues of attachment and trauma.

I am here to help you find balance in life. I view the counseling relationship as collaborative where we work together toward achieving your personal goals, making positive life choices, improving relationships, and healing from emotional hurt. I also understand that mental, physical, and spiritual health are all intertwined. I strive to provide a safe environment where clients can explore their feelings and talk about their life circumstances. I am up-front and candid with my clients, providing a judgment free environment where strength, wisdom, and change can be achieved.

It is important for individuals to feel empowered in their everyday lives, feeling confident they can move forward working towards their goals. Each individual is different. I aid in helping identify strengths and positive qualities that make each individual unique. I encourage individuals to be the best version of themselves, providing support when barriers present themselves. Life cannot always be perfect, but the right attitude and outlook can go a long way. I work primarily with adults 18 and older addressing issues including depression, anxiety, life adjustment issues, marital issues, grief, stress management, self-esteem, and overall balance and wellness.

I have over ten years of experience working with both Veterans and military issues.

As a trained EMDR therapist, my focus is to help you find relief from many types of psychological distress that impact your daily living. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of psychotherapy that has been empirically tested and proven effective on a variety of psychological issues and all ages. We will meet in a safe, warm, and secure environment to discuss your concerns, develop an individualized care plan designed to meet those concerns, and begin treatment focused on targeting the most important issues. You are supported through the entire process and given tools to assist yourself outside of therapy.

Sometimes we need help navigating our journey, and therapy is great place to start! Prior to my private practice I was employed with Hyland Behavior Health Systems. At Hyland Behavioral Health I was a Dual Diagnosis Case Manager and worked with individuals diagnosed with a chemical dependency and psychiatric diagnosis. I was involved in case management, group therapy, treatment planning and discharge planning. I also worked on the sexual trauma unit, eating disorder unit and Psychiatric ICU.
