There's a specific kind of grief that may hit after receiving a diagnosis, and sometimes, you may feel a sense of relief to finally put a name to your health symptoms. Through an integrative psychodynamic approach, we will work on sense of identity, grief, explore attachment shifts, and self-advocacy. I also have experience working with current and former sex workers that often live within the intersections of queerness and disability. Many of the populations I work with have experienced forms of complex trauma, wherein we may address present and past trauma through a direct, process-oriented approach: depending on pace and comfort.

The meeting wrapped and everyone told you that you nailed it. You drove home in the quiet, the radio off, the same stretch of road as every evening, and felt nothing at all. On the outside you look like you are functioning. You handle the work, the family, the responsibilities. Inside it feels like you are falling apart. The mornings ask more than you have. The things you used to like do not bring you pleasure anymore, and underneath the sadness sits self-doubt, guilt, with a quiet helplessness. You tell yourself other people manage, so what is wrong with you. And still, this is not the life you wanted to be living.

I am a compassionate witness, teacher, and a future ancestor.
My approach to life is rooted in interdependence, authenticity, and radical acceptance. My introduction to therapy was through Self, community, nature, ancestral medicine, and eventually, therapy, so in my world, healing, is not a place we ever arrive to, but a wavelength we choose to keep riding. Your contributions and insights about your life and our work together, before and during, are of the upmost value to me. I stray away from assuming, so I actively incorporate feedback.

You may carry a constant undercurrent of tension—feeling constantly alert, exhausted, or overwhelmed by emotions due to relentless inner demands. When stress, neglect, violence, or family dysfunction shape your story, it can lead to survival strategies like putting others first or silencing your own needs. Over time, these survival strategies can leave your body unsettled, your mind fatigued, and your sense of self fragmented.
As a Latinx, queer, and neurodiverse person, I understand the importance of exploring the intersections of our identities and honoring the wholeness of who we are.

Reaching out for therapy isn’t always easy, especially if you’re used to handling things on your own. You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting. We’ll take time to understand what’s been coming up for you and begin shifting what isn’t working in a way that feels real and sustainable. If this resonates, you’re welcome to reach out when you feel ready.

You love each other, but you’re tired of your relationship or marriage feeling so hard all the time. You can’t seem to do anything right. No matter how many times you try to bring up the issues, you walk away feeling unheard or misunderstood. Sometimes you wonder if your partner really cares. You feel like you carry the weight of the household, the kids, the family, but there is nothing left for you. Often you feel criticized, so you shut down and stop trying. Fights never get resolved because life gets busy. And you are starting to wonder if this marriage/relationship is worth it. You just want to feel close again.
