Greetings! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience providing therapy services to diverse individuals.

My expertise lies in helping people of all ages, from children to seniors, who are struggling with issues such as life transitions, anxiety and depression, relationship problems, family conflict, problematic behavior patterns, coping with divorce, death, and other types of loss, parenting challenges, and childhood trauma. My goal is to help my clients better understand their own feelings and behaviors so as to reduce emotional suffering and make positive changes in life.

Hi, I am a child, adolescent and young adult therapist. I see clients from 3-25 years. I have a strong passion for working with adoptive families and all the challenges that this brings, and I also treat anxiety, depression, mood disorders, kids and teens with huge behaviors, ADHD and executive skills deficits, learning disabilities, attachment, trauma, domestic abuse, sexual, emotional and physical abuse, developmental issues. I also do a lot of parenting work, and I teach Robyn Gobbel's parenting course. I work with a parent in the room for children under 12, as parents become my co-therapist, carrying on the work at home.

I am a licensed professional clinical psychotherapist with over a decade of experience working with youth ages 0-18. I also specialize in early infant-parent psychotherapy, childhood development, parent-child relationships, parental mental health, and family wellness. I have has also received additional specialized training in trauma-informed care and multicultural psychology which are vital to youth wellness!

Amber Walker is a graduate from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and is currently obtaining her licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Illinois. She received her M.A. in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in child and adolescent treatment from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Before CCBH, Amber worked closely with children and families residing in underserved populations. Amber provided continuous support and used strength-based and evidence-based models such as the Parent as Teacher model to strengthen family engagement, family dynamics, and parenting practice.

Parenting is complex! As a caretaker, parent, or parent to be, you experience a range of emotions that can feel overwhelming. Parenting can magnify unresolved childhood wounds that need to be explored and nurtured. Parenting is an amazingly joyful experience that can sometimes be plagued by self-doubt, guilt, stress, and burn out. This can have a great effect on a person's emotional well-being, relationships, and family system. As a caretaker, you deserve a dedicated time and space to process these complexities and receive therapeutic support.

My clinical interests include depression and anxiety, trauma recovery, grief and loss, neurodivergence, and issues related to life transitions, relationships, and parenting. I used to teach at the Davidson Academy of Nevada, which serves profoundly gifted students, and have a special passion for working with gifted/2E folks and their families.
