There are unique stressors for the parents and children with ADHD, dyslexia and autism living in this rigid neurotypical world that I can help you identify and gently navigate.
My aim is to help people transform their hardships into a journey of self-discovery and healing to ultimately reclaim their own deep knowing, purpose, and self love. I integrate relational therapy and somatic, body centered, energetic healing techniques like tapping and breath-work within an anti-oppressive framework to gently guide people back to themselves. I uphold a LGBTQI affirming practice and I respect and embrace neurological and behavioral difference that makes us so uniquely ourselves.

Clients find my particular approach to therapy to be a casual directness that is personable and practical but does not shy away from the emotional difficulties often involved in pursuing self-reflection or achieving true movement in their lives. People come to me when they are ready to take a closer examination of themselves and their circumstances; gaining clarity and insight into their emotions, sense of self, values, and a deeper sense of what matters to them and what to do about it.

Healing begins in relationship, whether you're a child expressing big feelings through play, or an adult working through old wounds and new challenges. I offer a warm, attachment-based approach that honors where you are and gently supports growth, connection, and resilience. For children, I use play therapy to help them express what they may not yet have words for. Through developmentally attuned, child centered play, children begin to feel safe, seen, and understood. For adults, I offer a grounded, compassionate space to explore experiences, past and present, and how they may be affecting daily life.

Working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families involves a collaborative process involving all of the individuals who help a child develop, including relatives, school staff, pediatricians, and other therapists. It also involves creating a positive, upbeat, and energetic setting to foster growth and development. Utilizing techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), including mindfulness, my treatment paradigm involves evidence-based practices for a wide range of behavioral and emotional issues. I believe therapy should be proactive and not reactive, and that it must focus on strengths and not just weaknesses.

I specialize in working with individuals and couples facing sexual intimacy challenges, relationship dynamics, grief, and parenting transitions.
We all face unexpected moments in life that shake us. At those times, we may not know what we’re looking for, or where we want to go next. We can become stuck in cycles of overthinking and indecision, and just need some guidance to get us back on track. I help clients identify their values and beliefs, support them in living a life in line with their goals, and guide them in making the decisions that get them there.

I work with individuals and couples to build balance, awareness, and deeper connection in their everyday lives. Whether someone is navigating a major life transition, untangling long-held patterns, or simply trying to feel more grounded, I offer a space where their full experience is welcome. My approach is warm, collaborative, and direct. In our work together, I invite clients to slow down and notice what’s happening beneath the surface. So much of modern life asks us to move quickly and react automatically. Let’s find ways to be present and notice our responses.

Together, we’ll uncover what your child needs, strengthen your confidence as a parent, and bring more calm and connection to your home.
Hola, I’m a bilingual first-generation Mexican American therapist supporting young children and their families. I help families heal from trauma and stress, whether from early challenges, separation, loss, or moments that left lasting pain. Some days, your child’s behaviors may feel overwhelming, leaving you worried or unsure of what to do. You want to understand your child, help them feel safe, and respond in ways that honor both who they are and who you are. Together, we work toward calmer days, deeper connection, and a home that reflects your values, culture, and love while breaking patterns that no longer serve your family.

I have been trained in and utilize practice informed by Child- Parent Psychotherapy when working with parents and their children ages 0-5.
Therapy is a unique opportunity to focus on yourself and begin down the path to a healthy, more fulfilling life. Working collaboratively with a therapist can help you to explore patterns, relationships and ways of functioning that no longer serve your best interest. This exploration can lead to the strength and confidence necessary to make changes and regain focus in your life. Therapy is an emotionally safe place that will allow you to heal as you address difficult issues, gain clarity, and become reacquainted with your authentic self.

Parenting Therapists

What does therapy for parenting look like?

Therapists may work with parents individually, together, or include the whole family to find solutions for the problems a parent faces. Many parent-based therapies work on a parent’s relationship with their children, problem-solving within the family, and analysis of family dynamics. Therapy conducted remotely by video may be helpful in allowing a therapist to observe how families interact in their own homes.

When should a parent seek therapy?

When behavioral problems begin to disrupt the healthy functioning of a family, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If parents find that children are acting out in school, have started using drugs or alcohol, have developed eating disorders, or other similar red flags, a therapist may be able to help.

How long does therapy take for parenting problems?

Depending on the severity of a family’s challenges and the type of treatment utilized, therapy for parenting can last from weeks to months. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a pragmatic therapy type that can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. Structural family therapy, which inspects family dynamics, often takes several months. Parent-child interaction therapy is typically shorter-term, lasting between 10 and 20 sessions. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

Can therapy help parents dealing with burnout or stress?

Parenting is difficult. Parents may dismiss or conceal feelings of exhaustion, overwhelm, or escape ideation—imagining withdrawing from their parental obligations altogether. but left unattended, these feelings can have negative effects on the whole family. A therapist can help parents work on the skills they might need to better cope with the burdens of parenting and help them be the best parents they can be.
