Folks enter into therapy to examine the internal and external barriers that keep them from cultivating the kind of life they want to lead. Working with a therapist can help you not only recognize the way these barriers impact your life, but help you break through them by utilizing many of the skills and strengths you already possess. Together, we’ll also work to build bridges leading to new skills and strengths, guiding you to the kind of life you truly want to live. My main focus is on creating a safe, supportive and trusting environment where clients can share their story and know that it will be received with positive regard.

I work with clients who are burned out. I understand the challenges that come with overwhelming responsibilities while coping with unsupportive conditions. My clients have important work, school, or family responsibilities they can't just walk away from, but they need new tools or approaches to manage their lives so that they can thrive.

Addiction rarely emerges overnight—it's a continuum, quietly shifting from a seemingly harmless outlet to a consuming force that reshapes priorities, strains relationships, and challenges your sense of self. If you've recently noticed your alcohol use, gambling, substance use, or other addictive behaviors are taking on a life of their own, you’re not alone. I help people navigate this shift. Through our work, we’ll uncover the roots of your challenges and the strengths that empower change. You’ll gain tools to manage temptations, build healthier coping, and restore balance.

You wake up already rehearsing the day, replaying yesterday, questioning if you’re doing life right. Your mind replays yesterday, worries about today, and questions whether you’re even doing life right. It’s not always intense. Just constant. The second-guessing. The what-ifs. The pressure to hold it all together when you’re not sure what “together” even means. Maybe you’ve told yourself this is just how your brain works. Maybe it helps to analyze everything until it almost makes sense. But deep down, you want something else. Not a perfect life. Just space to breathe without your mind narrating every moment.

I have always enjoyed helping others access joy for who they are now and facilitating connection with who they long to be. As a therapist I've been privileged with my experience of fostering growth within an expansive range of uniquely, diverse populations. My personal philosophy is that no storm of your past or present, no matter how destructive, can uproot the aspirations you’ve planted for your future. Through time together, we can grow the seeds of your dreams into branches of reality you can grasp with confidence.

Often, people come to us looking to explore psychological concerns in a sophisticated way. If they had past therapy, they were at times disappointed that it did not go deeper, as it left the greater meaning (the "roots") of their symptoms unexplored. Psychodynamic therapy, however, offers a comprehensive way of seeing that maintains thoughtful attention to the subtle depths and intricacies of human experience, thus allowing for holistic change. In so doing, it can help to both resolve symptoms and impart meaning to your experiences, even those thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are often felt to be painful or meaningless.

Most of my patients have queer and/or trans subjectivities and I have a special interest in working with these populations, but I welcome anyone to my practice who wants to disentangle long-standing problems, know themselves more deeply, and feel more alive. While symptoms of depression, anxiety, or distraction signal that something is wrong, most of the issues people bring to therapy are complex and woven into the fabric of their lives, histories, and relationships. For this reason I work within a psychodynamic framework, which can help reduce distressing symptoms as well as support deeper, long-lasting, inner change.

Having issues with anxiety, past traumas, or just not feeling like yourself? Let us work together on a path to heal restoratively. I believe in the power of restorative practices and that each and every one of us has a story and I believe in the power of having our stories heard. I also believe that we all deserve a space where that story can be heard without judgment, fear or trepidation. I want to hear yours and walk beside you as you share your story and work through your journey of healing and restoration. I won't ever perceive to be the expert in your life but I will always be honest, receptive and give you my best.
