I understand that making the decision to begin therapy can be as daunting as it is positive. I will provide a warm, supportive space to begin to sort out life's challenges. I believe that everyone has the resilient capacity to create change and will help guide clients toward healthy goals by letting go of past issues, negative thoughts, and/or unwanted behaviors. As an experienced, licensed psychotherapist with a masters degree in clinical social work from the University of Chicago, I have been a practicing social worker since 2004 and a psychotherapist since 2011.

There’s a kind of pain that’s easy to ignore—until you can’t anymore. Maybe you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure why part of you still doesn’t feel safe. These aren’t flaws—they’re signs of a nervous system that learned to survive.
What would it be like to feel safe within yourself? To assert healthy boundaries? To have an inner voice rooted in self-compassion? Therapy won’t erase what you’ve experienced, but it can lessen its hold. It can give language to what once felt unspeakable. Together, we can explore how your past lives on in your present-day experiences, relationships, and beliefs.

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in painful patterns, struggling in relationships, or simply seeking more meaning in life — therapy can be a powerful step toward clarity and healing. My approach is warm, nonjudgmental, and deeply collaborative. I believe in creating a safe space where you feel seen, heard, and understood — because real growth starts with genuine connection. I prioritize meeting the client before the problem. My theoretical lens involves taking a deep dive to look within and see how past experiences affect our present selves, which then influences who we want to become in the future.

In-person testing with remote-supported options in IL, FL, and OH.
Smart doesn’t always mean thriving. Many of the students I see are bright, motivated, and capable, yet school feels harder than it should. Families describe daily battles with homework, unexplained dips in performance, or testing anxiety that seems to come out of nowhere. Others notice slow work pace, gaps in attention, or struggles with writing that aren’t explained by effort. Parents want clarity about what is really happening and how to help their child succeed without losing confidence. That is the space where my work begins.

I draw from relational and psychodynamic approaches, as well as Internal Family Systems, to join my clients in exploring the historical and relational roots of their present-day challenges in ways that honor their adaptive origins and open up new paths for relating to the world.

Echoes of past disappointments and trauma can follow us around, closing us off to new experiences. In our pain, we can feel isolated and disconnected from the world. These patterns disrupt the ability to wish for and pursue a more fulfilling life. Hope may feel difficult to hold onto and even harder to sustain.

My ideal client is an adult navigating anxiety, identity shifts, or life transitions. They’re thoughtful, resilient, and ready to grow but feel stuck. They want more than relief; they’re seeking lasting change. They’re looking to understand themselves, break harmful patterns, and show up more fully in their lives and communities. My job is to support them in reconnecting with their own wisdom so fully, in fact, that they eventually put me out of a job and become a healing force in the spaces they care about most.

I am a licensed clinical social worker who obtained my Masters in Social Work from Loyola University of Chicago. I am passionate about working with individuals and partnerships to assist them in uncovering strengths and building skills to navigate relationships with themselves and others. I especially enjoy working with folks who are pursuing therapy for the first time. I became a clinical social worker because of my fascination for the human experience and all its nuances. I am honored to walk alongside folks in the space that therapy creates that doesn’t exist anywhere else. When you sit down for a session, you are the sole focus.

I help people who feel stuck and unhappy. Maybe you feel depressed or anxious; maybe you are lonely; maybe you feel uncertain about relationships or work. Perhaps your problems are new; perhaps you have been struggling for years. Maybe nobody would guess how you feel because on the outside, you seem to hold yourself together so well. But inside, you carry a heavy weight. I know it takes courage to be vulnerable and address your complicated thoughts and feelings. I am here to listen and to help. Together, we will collaborate to sort through hidden barriers and patterns that prevent you from creating changes and making new choices.
