Relationships are at the heart of our human experience, shaping who we are and how we see the world. They offer us connection, comfort, and growth, yet they also bring challenges that reveal our vulnerabilities. In navigating these highs and lows, relationships teach us resilience, empathy, and the strength that comes from being truly seen and understood. In our work together, my priority is to provide a safe, collaborative space where we can explore and accept all parts of ourselves and our relationships.

In my work with clients, I may explore generational wounds, personal identities and context in the world, and the mind-body connection. I approach my work from a trauma-informed lens and am inspired by person-centered theory. I seek to build an authentic working relationship with my clients that is based in compassionate and affirming honesty. I am interested in helping people work through relational, family, and/or systemic trauma. I am also interested in helping people make sense of multiple truths in regards to conflicting social identities, coming to terms with harm they caused or complex grief.

Are you the eldest child? Is it difficult to be vulnerable and trust that others can take care of you? Being the eldest child myself, I can relate to the complexities of navigating your personal needs from those you care for. We are often told who we should be without being given the space to explore who we want to be. I work to offer my clients that space to explore at their pace. Taking a client's culture, family background, and inter-generational patterns and trauma into account is a vital part of my approach. The act of opening yourself up to the therapeutic process can be scary and vulnerable but there is life beyond that fear.

At the core of my work is the belief in the power of relationships to foster growth and healing. I particularly enjoy working with folks who are interested in increasing self-awareness, discovering and/or honoring their most authentic selves as they navigate life’s ups and downs, and looking to increase their own sense of self compassion.
As an estranged Mexican American daughter of immigrants, I also value working and supporting those who are navigating difficult and dysfunctional relationships with family.

Life can give us experiences of fun and excitement. At the same time, there are periods where day-to-day life becomes overwhelming. When these waves of overwhelm arrive, we can experience difficulty identifying ways to deal with our feelings. We may struggle in naming what we are feeling and subsequently experience a sense of impossibility and helplessness. Through my work with individuals and couples, I developed a repertoire of interventions to guide my clients who are struggling with relational issues, LGBTQI+ issues, autism, ADHD, depression, OCD, eating disorders, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, and emotional dysregulation.

We are all works in progress and the world around us can steer us in the wrong direction. I strive to work with my clients to find the most rewarding path and the healthiest balance of one’s needs, through learning more about oneself, others, and the world around us. It is essential to find a therapist that makes you feel validated, respected, and acknowledged by honoring your intersectional identities. As such, I strive to embody this in the therapeutic approaches that I use with my clients to uniquely address their presenting concerns.
