You may reach a point where who you are on the outside no longer matches what you’re carrying inside. As a trauma-informed therapist in Chicago, I understand how easy it is to hide parts of yourself from friends or family just to avoid conflict or to fit in. Over time, it may start to feel like no one truly knows the real you. Stress can show up in many ways—through increased drinking, bingeing or restricting food, or turning to other coping behaviors. You may even be in recovery and still feel like life is unmanageable, which can be discouraging. You don’t have to feel stuck. Change is possible, and hope is within reach."

We live in a world where we are conditioned by so many things around us. Do you feel you are not good enough? Do you experience the need to achieve perfection? Are you made to feel your needs are unimportant? This can be a result of messaging we have received from family, society, culture, etc. It can leave us feeling sad, unmotivated, and purposeless, among many other emotions. Together we can challenge norms and evaluate if and what we can reset. Imagine a life in which you could be relieved of all the unnecessary weight you carry. Together we can awaken parts of you that you may not know exist.

It's hard to read a paragraph, look at a photo, and then decide who is worth trusting with the most intimate and difficult parts of your life. To help make things easier, I offer a free 30 minute consult. As you read on, I hope my method and experience will be a good match for you. Therapy can play a crucial role in helping with problems in relationships, at home, and at work. During my seven years in mental health, I've helped young adults find meaning in their lives, traumatized people talk about their issues for the first time, and anxious people communicate more openly to their partners.

Hi there-thanks for stopping by. I’m here to provide connection and healing for people who use drugs, queer and trans folks, people doing social movement work, and anyone else who feels lost, confused, or disconnected. I work from a harm reduction and trauma-informed perspective to help you reconnect with who you are, what you value, and the skills you have to create agency and autonomy in your own life. I'm interested in the intersections of healing and liberation, and am excited to explore with you how your own healing contributes to a liberated future.

Many of my clients come to therapy feeling weighed down by emotions that seem too heavy to carry alone. They may be grieving a loss, healing from trauma, or struggling to manage the demands of multiple identities and roles. Whether you’re an adult or teen, you may long to feel calmer, more connected, and more in control of your emotions. Therapy offers a place to rebuild trust in yourself, honor what you’ve endured, and create space for growth and self-compassion.

Not knowing where to start is more common than you might think. Many people begin therapy feeling anxious, disconnected, or stuck in patterns that no longer feel helpful, wanting things to feel different, but unsure how to begin. I offer a calm, compassionate space where you can slow down, explore your story, and begin reconnecting with yourself. Therapy with me is collaborative and paced, allowing us to gently understand how your experiences have shaped you while building tools that support healing in both mind and body.

Do you love your partner but feel like you struggle to communicate with them? Like you are always doing something wrong and just can’t seem to get on the same page? Do you want desperately to get that connection back that you had at the beginning of your relationship, but instead you find yourself slogging your way through constant conflict or walking on eggshells to avoid another argument? Do you feel insecure in your relationships or wonder if you could be responding to challenges in a better way?

I am committed to creating an individualistic counseling experience. I recognize and appreciate the unique experiences of individuals and couples. My words are put to action through an integrative style therapy that acknowledges counseling is not a one-size-fits-all. Our counseling sessions are tailored to your unique needs. I aspire to help others navigate life transitions and challenges. Through a welcoming, adaptable, and direct therapy, I create a trusting environment, promoting conversations that uncover mental barriers and acknowledge an individual's unique worldview.

As the Dread Pirate Roberts from the Princess Bride once said, "Life is pain. Anyone who says otherwise is selling something." While I do very much love this movie, I believe this statement is "Inconceivable!" and far too large of a generalization. I agree that pain is an inevitable part of life, but believe this is much too large of a statement to believe all of life is pain. Life can be filled with beauty, joy, and wonder as we learn to triumph over, manage, and/or live with pain. In my practice, I focus on developing resiliency and increasing your awareness for your own resources, strength, and power.

In my work with individuals recovering from addictions, eating disorders, co-dependency and trauma, I assess which modality (individual, group psychotherapy or family therapy) will help my clients achieve their goals most effectively. I work with parents in the areas of attachment, financial literacy, discipline, boundary setting & launching as well as, couples who are struggling with infertility.I believe a therapist actively participates in the relationship, in addition to observing the process and offering expertise.

Many people struggle with feeling lost and directionless or anxious about their ability to cope with life on life’s terms. For some people, these feelings can linger and become the painful lens through which you see yourself and the world. But it doesn’t have to be that way. With care and support, you can become more confident and loving toward yourself. You might even wake up one day and realize that instead of needing to read the instructional manual for life, you are ready to write your own. However, you might need some rough drafts and edits first. That is where therapy comes in.

Do you ever feel stuck during times of change, unsure how to make sense of what you’re feeling, or wanting a space where you can show up as yourself without judgment? Finding a therapist that meets your needs and makes you feel comfortable makes all the difference in the therapeutic process. It’s one of the most important factors that impact treatment and recovery. Therapy is a journey that should be shared with someone you’re comfortable with and trust. Working with me you will find a sympathetic and genuine therapist. I partner with my clients and gently challenge them in a safe and nonjudgmental environment. I encourage them to explore their thoughts, feelings, and fears in order to understand the obstacles they are experiencing and help them make the changes that are necessary to improve life

Whether it’s your first time starting therapy or you’re returning after some time, I am genuinely glad you’re here, and I’m excited to support you on your journey. In a world where hustle culture often pushes mental health aside, there is so much power and courage in choosing to prioritize your well-being. Even during the most difficult seasons of life, there is beauty in the process—sometimes, we just need that reminder and support.
