My clients vary from first-gen and immigrant folks navigating the weight of two worlds, BIPOC women unlearning the habit of making themselves small, recovering people-pleasers learning to want things out loud, emerging adults figuring out who they are outside their family’s story, and caregivers for aging parents carrying invisible, underacknowledged weight. They come to me when life has hit a standstill; when they’re exhausted from over-giving, caught between who they were raised to be and who they actually are, or carrying patterns they can’t seem to shake no matter how self-aware they are.

I became a therapist because I have a deep desire to help others heal their emotional wounds and live richer, fuller lives. I believe we hold the answers we are looking for within us but sometimes need help accessing our inner strength and wisdom to uncover them. That is why I practice from a collaborative perspective, giving clients the space and time to go at their own pace. Using humor and warmth to create a relaxed, safe and accepting space, I meet clients where they are in their journey to explore past and present challenges, identify obstacles, and increase self-awareness and personal growth.

I specialize in working with the LGBTQ community. I work with folks around trauma healing, gender and sexual identity exploration, developing healthy conflict and attachment styles (poly and kink affirming,) combating addiction, disability/chronic illness and building sincere connection to self and others. I center my practice around queer theory, feminist theory and critical race theory. I aim to recognize any power dynamic in a therapeutic alliance and work towards cultivating a space that is egalitarian. Finding balance and stability through struggle is a primary focus of mine in my practice.

My ideal clients are adults who've been holding it together on the outside while quietly unraveling on the inside high-functioning, but exhausted. They come in navigating trauma, identity, relationship patterns, grief, or a persistent sense that something needs to shift but they can't name it yet. I especially work with BIPOC, queer, and neurodivergent folks who are done shrinking themselves to be understood. Together we slow down, get beneath the surface, and build a relationship with the parts of you that have been running the show, so healing becomes something you actually feel, not just cope with.

Let's face it. Life can be a real challenge. What is your life story? How can it be shaped going forward? Let's focus on those important moments and make the complexity of the overall situation the main focus of attention in a safe, secure, and empathetic environment. We will explore your past, present, and future, and orient you as a "person in the environment," rather than as an isolated individual. We will work collaboratively and creatively to tap into your strengths and competencies. We will purposefully tailor a unique but flexible therapeutic (or coaching) approach toward self-discovery and realizing your full potential.

I find myself most aligned with my calling when I am able to create spaces of healing alongside individuals from all walks of life. I assist in defining who clients aspire to be rather than what is expected of them. Together we will explore ways to increase self esteem, self respect, and self worth. I tailor my therapeutic approach to the individual needs of each client. I provide a structure to guide individuals to access self love. Through this process we will work to unpack each client's unique narrative; In order to then reauthor their understanding of who they are.

I've seen, heard and personally experienced the difficulty of finding a therapist when you hold marginalized identities. It's an honor for me to be able to provide a unique space for folks like us! I believe that understanding how our culture, gender, society, family, etc. inform our identities allows people to ditch the concepts or social expectations that don’t fit and pursue the ones that feel truly authentic. Let's show up as we are and get some solid work done!

We all deserve to be seen, heard, and valued for the unique beings we are. My goal is to help you undo limiting beliefs and unpack social conditioning to become your most authentic and aligned self. I work with adults and teens 16+ and especially with people who suspect they may be dealing with perfectionism, co-dependence, and/or people pleasing. As a former CPS teacher, I also specialize in working with those in the teaching and helping professions and other individuals who struggle with anxiety, burnout, or secondary traumatic stress.
