I'm passionate about helping my clients navigate life's different chapters, be it depression, anxiety, life transitions, ambiguous loss, strained relationships or employment struggles. I work with dual-diagnosis and understand not only the genetic component of addiction, but also how individuals can self-medicate for unresolved issues in their lives. In addition, trained as a Grief Counselor, I work with clients experiencing grief and loss.

As a psychotherapist, I recognize the intersectionality of the identities that we hold and its impact on how we move through the world. My work is rooted in affirming the experiences of individuals who identify as queer, transgender/GNC, sex workers, non-monogamous/polyamorous, and disabled. Body neutrality, Health At Every Size (HAES), and sex positivity are core values of my clinical practice. I specialize in working with folks who have experienced trauma, depression, and anxiety, with a focus on religious and sexual trauma; as well as individuals exploring their gender identity and sexuality.

Navigating our world can create stress as we struggle to cope with our responsibilities, relationships, and emotions. Increasing awareness of patterns in our lives and developing new tools and insights can help us to feel more effective, competent, and able to face life's challenges. It can be difficult to move toward change, and I commend you for taking this first step. In our work together, I will provide a non-judgmental space to allow for self-exploration and growth. With deep respect for the healing process and resiliency of my clients, I recognize the importance of working with someone you trust and feel a connection with.

Most, if not all of us have a plan for our lives, but things do not always go according to that plan. We face detours or worse, having to reimagine that life all together. We aren’t always ready for these changes, and it can leave us feeling alone, depressed, anxious, stuck, unmotivated, or even scared. I use an integrative approach that utilizes psychoeducation and mindfulness in a safe and open space to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered to re-envision the plan you had for yourself.

The artist Coldplay once said: "Everybody knows I'm in over my head." Many of us can relate to that sense. We often feel "in over our heads." We feel stuck, overwhelmed, or confused. However deeply you might relate to this, I believe that living life with your head above the water is possible. I believe that together in counseling, we can discover the path out of anxiety, obsessive thoughts, depression, grief, shame, relational conflict, and other barriers to greater wholeness and connection. As a counselor, one of my greatest passions in life is to see people flourish and live life more lightly and fully.

My passion is helping people with DEPRESSION. I want my patients to feel empowered because their symptoms leave them feeling powerless. One of my most important roles as a psychiatrist is to instill hope for my patients. Depression is treatable, and with TMS therapy along with medication management, we have even more options for patients who struggle.

As an art therapist, I believe in remembering and collaborating with the artist within, who imagines, strategizes, problem solves, to create change. I explore embodiment as an anti-oppressive and liberation practice, through which we can deepen our understanding of the body's personal, generational and collective stories. I use Brainspotting, EMDR to explore memories, pains and joys, thaw internalized un-truths, with the goal of expanding in clarity and creativity. It is your birthright to heal, and to remember fully, your soul origin and life purpose.

I believe every person has the capacity to heal and to live a connected, vibrant life. When faced with anxiety, depression, and pain, we sometimes cope by developing habits and re-living patterns that hold us back. Whether you are experiencing unfulfilling relationships, grief, panic, or numbness, we can work together to get to know your story and illuminate the path forward.

Cigna and Evernorth Therapists
Cigna and its healthcare division Evernorth provide behavioral health coverage though managed care plans and Medicare Advantage plans. Outside the U.S., Cigna provides insurance through Cigna Global Health Benefits.

Cigna and Evernorth HMO plans only cover services from in-network providers and require a referral from your primary care physician. EPO plans also utilize in-network providers but generally do not require a PCP referral. PPO plans offer the most flexibility and a larger network of providers, and may include some out of network benefits.

Occasionally Cigna or Evernorth Therapists in Chicago will only accept a limited number of in-network insurance patients in their practice, so it's important to check if your plan is accepted when you book a consultation.

Based in Connecticut, Cigna insures 180 million people in more than 30 countries around the world. Cigna rebraded its health services division as Evernorth in September 2021.
