My professional background was built on working with teenagers and young adults. In today's world, people migrate more than ever before and settle down later in life than previous generations have done. These new trends have forced us to redefine how we relate to one another and also to increase the number of social connections. Whether we are discussing anxiety, depression, procrastination, indecision, relationships, or existential dilemmas; I truly commit to helping people navigate through these complexities of modern-day life. It is honoring to be a part of their journey, and, in that, I feel blessed.

The people I work with are often carrying a lot—complex trauma, anxiety, relationship struggles, or the unique challenges of being highly sensitive or neurodivergent in a fast-paced world. Some are navigating infidelity, intimacy concerns, or cultural misattunements in their relationships. Others are tired of feeling stuck in cycles of perfectionism or disconnection from themselves. Underneath, they long to feel more grounded, connected, and supported as they move toward greater clarity and peace.

I believe in the transformative power of therapy and the healing potential of human connection. Therapy is also about finding the right fit in a therapist. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe to show up fully & authentically themselves, free from judgment, and supported in fostering self-compassion. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in deep respect for each person’s story. I have done my own work in therapy, so I know how life-changing it can be and how vulnerable it feels to sit in the client’s chair. I integrate somatic (body-based) awareness & mindfulness practices, & am guided by curiosity and care.

I believe healing begins within safe and trusting relationships. I'm passionate about working with individuals of all ages who have dealt with various forms of stress & trauma, incorporating a range of modalities including talk, play, and art therapy. In my work with children, I recognize the unique ways they express themselves & explore their worlds, and allowing play and the relationship to serve as powerful tools for healing, growth, and connection. I also support caregivers through parent coaching, to more deeply understand their child and to foster strong, healthy family relationships.

I work with adolescents and adults, with a special focus on trauma and PTSD. Trauma can shape so many areas of our lives, sometimes in ways we do not even realize. My work in trauma therapy also includes supporting people through depression, anxiety, ADHD, life transitions, and more. I also value the mind–body connection and understand how emotional stress can impact chronic conditions and overall well-being. By tending to your mental and emotional health, we’re caring for the whole self—body, mind, and everything in between.

Hello, and welcome. I am a licensed therapist providing virtual sessions to clients in Illinois, Iowa, Arizona, and Minnesota.
Do you ever feel invisible in a room full of people—even among friends? Or notice yourself striving endlessly, yet never quite feeling good enough? Many people carry this quiet ache, often rooted in painful or complicated early experiences. On the outside, life may look “together,” but inside, it can feel lonely, overwhelming, and hard to shake the feeling that something is missing.

I enjoy working with a diverse group of clients. Some have never been to counseling before and are uncertain what they are looking for. Many are going through a difficult transition and seek help and support in moving through it. And others have been to counseling before, but continue facing the same struggles because of earlier traumas that still affect them. Common issues include: adjustments and life transitions, difficulty finding one’s voice due to parental programming, perfectionism that creates barriers to healthy and happy living, difficulties arising from unresolved childhood trauma, difficulties arising from other traumas

More often than not, life is exhausting, difficult, and challenging. And that is why I strive to create a therapeutic space that offers sanctuary. In a sanctuary, we can then express, explore, and enhance ourselves. I find significant importance in practicing basic humanity, which means being genuine, connecting with others, practicing empathy, and acknowledging the human experience. Therapy holds such beautiful opportunities that I am honored to be a part of for some people. We will work together to explore your goals, strengths, areas for development, and action steps that guide us towards healing, self-improvement, and growth.

You may look capable and high-functioning, but inside you feel exhausted, anxious, or disconnected from yourself. You’ve spent years holding everything together, at work, in your family, or for your community, while burnout, perfectionism, trauma, or identity stress quietly take a toll.
Many of the people who find me are deeply feeling, neurodivergent, or navigating cultural and intergenerational pressure. You’re not looking for quick fixes. You want therapy that understands your nervous system, your identities, and the weight you’ve been carrying.

Attachment-based Therapists
Is attachment-based therapy the same as attachment therapy?
Attachment-based therapy may be confused with what is called “attachment therapy” (sometimes called “holding therapy”), a discredited and dangerous approach to treating children with attachment disorders, autism, or other mental health concerns. Attachment therapy—not attachment-based therapy—may involve restraining a child, forcing eye contact, and other coercive or abusive techniques. None of these practices are used in attachment-based therapy and the two modalities are in no way related.
What should I expect from attachment-based therapy?
Attachment-based therapy is based on attachment theory, which posits that children’s early relationships with their caregivers strongly influence their ability to navigate the world later in life. Thus, adults who seek attachment-based therapy should expect to deeply explore their childhood, identifying the dynamics or experiences that disrupted their attachment and the steps necessary to overcome challenges that arose as a result. Parents and children should expect to explore the possible factors that disrupted the parent-child relationship and work toward restoring trust and connection.
How long does attachment-based therapy last?
Certain forms of attachment-based therapy, especially those designed for parents and children, last for a set number of sessions; for example, Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch-Up, a specific attachment-based approach for young children who have undergone early adversity, unfolds over 10 one-hour sessions. When attachment-based therapy is practiced on adults or combined with other modalities, it may not last a specific length of time; clients may wish to ask prospective therapists how long they expect treatment to take.
Does attachment-based therapy work?
Most of the research on attachment-based therapy focuses on children and adolescents. Some of this research shows a positive effect, especially for attachment-based family therapy (ABFT). Other studies, however, have found that attachment-based therapy is no more effective than other approaches to childhood depression, anxiety, or suicidality. Less is known about the therapy’s efficacy on adult populations.
