One of the greatest things about healing is that you have everything you need to initiate the change you want to see in your life. I would love to help you navigate in uncovering those resources. I don't have the power to give you anything you don't already have but I can encourage you to empower yourself in discovering those tools you may have forgotten you had or never fully utilized. It is my personal belief that all of us have a purpose and our lives are most fulfilled when we walk in that purpose.

I believe that everyone deserves to have a sanctioned space where they can prioritize their needs and goals, in order to process past and present experiences. In a society where we may not be taught or allowed to experience a full range of emotions, I want to ensure that my clients will feel affirmed in their feelings, while simultaneously challenging them to analyze their roots. My primary goal is to support clients in healing from the inside out and tailor the therapeutic relationship to each individual's need, while simultaneously emphasizing the importance of community, connection, and collaboration to achieve liberation.

Most couples long for intimacy and connection and want to be heard, understood, and supported by their partner. Challenges such as changes in dynamics, betrayals, and unmet needs can take a toll on relationships. Sometimes, when these challenges arise, we lack the tools and resources to overcome them. Since most of us were not taught how to effectively communicate our needs, set boundaries, and resolve conflict, getting back on track can be difficult.

In the therapeutic setting, my goal is to provide clients the space to be their most authentic selves. Too often in society, we are forced to wear a façade, or be a fraction of ourselves in any given space, for fear of being “too much” or fear of not being accepted fully. In our sessions, I encourage you to take up space unapologetically. I love being able to help my clients discover their real selves and give them the tools to overcome any obstacles in their journeys towards wellness. I show up to sessions as my authentic self, and I encourage my clients to do the same. The work begins where the masks end.

It may be difficult to keep up with everything during changing times. Maybe you’ve never told anyone about your struggles, or you’ve wanted to tell someone for quite a while. You might be afraid to face what’s happening, feel embarrassed or unsure how to talk about it. This could leave you feeling alone and nervous. You don't have to feel this way- you deserve support to move forward with confidence and strength. I became a therapist to help people open up, share their feelings, and let it out. I am committed to being a source of support, especially when people don’t have friends or family they can talk to.

I believe therapy is the client’s personal space to develop new skills, persevere through obstacles, and heal their internal wounds as they navigate their journey of life. I use a multicultural lens during therapy and aim to help clients achieve the goals they bring with them. I like to utilize a mixture of theories and models to tailor to the clients’ needs, as I believe there is no “one way” or “right way” to achieve growth. This includes but is not limited to play therapy, DBT, emotion focused therapy, grief work, mindfulness practices, intergenerational theory, and many others. I work with children ages 5 – 12, teens & families.

My clients experience me as empathetic, motivating, and professional when combined create a safe space and therapeutic environment. It is an absolute honor that people trust me, and I try my best to serve them adequately in a non-judgmental space. There’s a proverb that says “you may be lost, but you are not defeated.” Many people seek therapy for a variety of reasons and the mere fact of their initiative shows they may be lost but they won’t give up. I have a desire to help others discover the parts of themselves that were hidden, isolated, or maybe even afraid.

Life can become complicated to handle when we experience loss, abrupt changes, trauma or conflict with family and friends. If you’ve experienced events that have led to an increase in worry, caused your esteem to plummet, or you find it difficult to manage feelings of sadness or irritability, then therapy can be a great step towards transformative healing. Perhaps you’re looking for a culturally-responsive therapist for yourself or your teen who understands the connection between the changes in one’s mood and the challenge of navigating various (and sometimes oppressive) social and family contexts.
