Maintaining a sense of direction and remaining at peace can be hard in today’s world. While stress, anxiety, and sadness are all a part of life, sometimes these feelings grow and become obstacles to healthy day-to-day life. I help people seeking to cope with issues such as loss, anxiety, depression, life transitions and trauma. Whatever unique challenges you are facing right now, I commend you for seeking help. All of us can use a little help from time to time.
Anyone can benefit from engaging in therapy. I provide a warm, nonjudgmental approach to help you find your innate strengths, values and resiliency. I am especially attuned to the needs of the LGBTQ+ community and approach therapy from a trauma informed perspective. My clinical approach is eclectic and draws from Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Whether you have attended therapy before or this is your first time, together we will develop a plan to help you get back to your life.
People seek counseling for a multitude of reasons. Whatever your reason, I am here to help. Whether something specific has happened to disrupt your life, or you are seeking more fulfillment in the quality of your life, we will work together to find your way back.
Nothing changes if nothing changes. If you feel mentally and emotionally stuck and overwhelmed do not hesitate to reach out for support. Change requires action - one step at a time. I offer a safe space for you to talk through your feelings and experiences and that empowers you to find solutions and gain effective coping strategies.
Life can sometimes overwhelm our capacities to cope. The space between who we are and who we want to be can feel vast. In those times, it takes bravery to reach out for support. I’m glad you’re here. You are resilient, capable, and not willing to settle for the status quo. Your reluctance to fit the mold may complicate things, but it’s worth it. Together we will celebrate your uniqueness, investigate the barriers to your progress, and build on your existing strengths to cultivate an authentic future full of possibilities.
It's okay to talk about it. Life often brings unexpected events and difficult challenges that leave us feeling lost and unsure. Grief, trauma, relationship struggles, life transition, work-related issues, addiction, existential or spiritual doubts, and persistent feelings of guilt, shame, and inadequacy. These experiences can be demoralizing and defeating but also provide an immense opportunity for growth.
Do you feel isolated and withdrawn? Are you overcome with anxiety or depression? if so, you do not have to struggle alone. I will partner with you to identify what you want your life to look like and provide the support and professional guidance needed to get you there. My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe and empathetic space to help guide you on your path to wholeness and living the life you really want.
We are here to support you. Life Aligned Counseling offers individual, couples, and family counseling services. Our team of therapists has experience in a wide variety of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma recovery, grief, relationship issues, self-esteem and self-concept, family conflict, stress management, spirituality, significant life transitions, men's issues, etc.

Perhaps you've found yourself stuck in self-defeating patterns of thinking or behavior – struggling with feelings or symptoms you can no longer ignore. Maybe life has thrown you a curve ball you can't manage with your existing coping skills. If the solution was simple, you'd probably have figured it out by now. Over 25+ years, I've helped numerous individuals and couples with diverse backgrounds, strengths and concerns to get "unstuck," make significant gains and achieve greater satisfaction in relationships, work and life in general.
I help clients with their journey to become one's ideal self. I am an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) practicing psychotherapy. My expertise is treating adults who struggle with anxiety/depression and are seeking to find a more meaningful life. I also enjoy working with college students, new graduates, and career changers faced with anxiety due to their life transition(s) which can bring on stress, depression, and/or anxiety with the many questions centering around, “What am I going to do next in my life?"
Are you finding it difficult to manage the many roles in your life? It can be challenging when handling the multiple demands of husband, wife, employer, employee, caretaker, mentor, sibling, friend, volunteer and neighbor etc. Sometimes, it is hard to breathe because our minds are constantly thinking about what we have not accomplished for the day, the week and even for the future. This anxiety can impact the way that we navigate through life and can also affect our relationships.
Are you feeling stuck or unsure of yourself? Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, work/life balance, relationship concerns, or how to achieve what you really want? We can help you find your authentic voice, connect to your inner strengths, discover new perspectives, and effectively assert yourself to make the positive changes you need. We will help you manage your self-critical voices and gain meaningful insights into your thoughts, behaviors, and emotions. We specialize in helping young and not so young adults who are struggling with self-confidence, relationships, trauma, life transitions, and issues of identity.
I provide quality mental health counseling and therapy that is thoughtfully tailored to your needs. Our work together will address concerns in an empowering and centering way that produces substantive change. My approach is connective (Therapy works best when we are able to connect and work well together) and directive (by directive I mean that I give things for you to do during the week like writing, journaling, reading, exercises, reflections, and/or activities). I'm known for being helpful with people who have been through therapy and haven't had success. I help people find aliveness, creativity, and strength.
While life's challenges and transitions are often times when we feel greater anxiety and stress, I believe they are also opportunities for self-understanding and growth. Whether you are dealing with stress in relationships or at work, feeling worn out or depressed, or struggling to cope with a loss, you don't have to work through it alone. I strive to provide a safe, supportive and reflective environment where clients can feel comfortable to explore their concerns, feelings, and relationship patterns and build upon their strengths to develop different ways of understanding, coping, and relating to themselves and others.
Do you feel trapped in your thoughts and emotions? For many people dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, or trauma emotions and thoughts can feel like they are constantly overwhelming and painful. They can often feel trapping, keeping you from enjoying life the way you might want to. However, it doesn't have to stay this way. Together we can learn how to manage these seemingly uncontrollable painful experiences. Understanding our internal experience, and being equipped with tools to handle our reactions, is often the key to improving our lives.
Psychotherapy has the potential to improve and even transform people's lives. If you're feeling like there's something missing in your life, psychotherapy can help. You deserve support if you’re experiencing anxiety, depression or the lingering effects of trauma and loss. If you're dealing with challenging life transitions or difficult personal and professional relationships, psychotherapy can be an valuable resource to help you navigate and cope more constructively.
