I am a Licensed Social Worker and have experience working with adolescents and adults with autism, ADHD , addiction, eating disorders, and codependency.
Living in a city as big as Chicago offers many opportunities yet it can sometimes feel overwhelming, lonely, and even isolating. Are you hiding certain pieces of yourself from your friends or family to avoid conflict or to fit in? You might feel like no one knows the real you. You’ve noticed a shift in how you deal with stress. Maybe it’s coming out as increased drinking, binging or restricting food, or turning to other coping behaviors. Or maybe you’re in recovery but other parts of your life continue to feel unmanageable which feels frustrating. You no longer need to feel trapped. Change is possible and hope can be found.

I want to meet my clients where they are and assist them in progressing forward as a stable companion, true confidant, and therapeutic clinician on this journey to wellness.

We specialize in evaluating and treating ADHD in adults and teenagers.
Do you find it so difficult to focus that it interferes with your work, school, or relationships? Do you or your teen become easily distracted? Is it really hard to remain organized despite your best efforts? Inattention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity are three common problems associated with ADHD , which affects about 5% of people. It is much more serious than just having trouble concentrating. ADHD creates real difficulties for teens and college students at school, presents barriers to adults' success at work, and strains relationships between people with ADHD and those who care about them.

If you or someone in your family is struggling and you don't know what's wrong, or if you suspect ADHD and want a more definitive answer, I also offer psychological testing for children (ages 8+), adolescents, and adults to identify any academic, behavioral, or emotional problems; as well as provide recommendations for effective treatment strategies.
Do you feel stressed out and tired of trying to do everything yourself? Have you been thinking about talking to someone, but it hasn't felt like the right time yet? And is it getting harder to set certain thoughts and feelings aside and "just not think about it?" I specialize in helping people work through stressful transitions and high-conflict situations. Through individual or couple's therapy, we can work together to find peace again and achieve the goals which you've wanted but have felt out of reach.

Hello. My pronouns are he/him. Are you wondering whether you (or your child) might have an emotional, learning, or behavioral disorder, such as ADHD , Dyslexia, Autism, PTSD, OCD, Bipolar, or Borderline PD? I provide psychological/neuropsychological testing, which is a research-based way to get to the "root" of these complex problems. Often, the results can help you obtain accommodations in school/college, be useful if you feel "stuck" in psychotherapy or with medications, or want to learn about your emotions, memory, personality, interests, reasoning skills (IQ), relationships, and strengths. (Note: I do not provide psychotherapy).

As an ADHD -CCSP Certified Clinical Services Professional, I help adults with ADHD increase their awareness and understanding of their ADHD , emotions, impulses, and executive functioning skill strengths and weaknesses.
My name is Craig and I genuinely enjoy helping people overcome everyday life challenges and transitions, relationship problems, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and ADHD . I believe everyone has the potential to resolve their current struggles and also feel truly happier and more fulfilled with their current life. All of us can sometimes struggle with major events and be unable to find a path forward. Having an objective third party to process your thoughts and feelings can help you sort things out and find a new course forward. Therapy requires openness and vulnerability but is an important investment in yourself and wellbeing.

ADHD Therapists
Some children and adults with ADHD find it difficult to concentrate on tasks at school or work and may daydream frequently. Children with ADHD may become disruptive, defiant, or have trouble getting along with parents, peers, or teachers. Children who struggle with hyperactivity and impulsivity, in particular, often have behavioral challenges that can be difficult for adults to manage. Adults, on the other hand, may be more likely to report feeling restless or fidgety; if they struggle with impulsivity, they may make rash decisions that adversely affect their life. For both children and adults, executive functioning (planning, emotional regulation, and decision-making) is often affected as well. Many children and adults display either hyperactive or inattentive symptoms of ADHD, but it’s also possible for both sets of symptoms to exist together, in what is typically called combined type ADHD.

If you're looking for a South Loop, Chicago ADHD therapist, these professionals provide ADHD therapy and counseling in South Loop, Chicago.
