I believe that therapy is about the process of exploring the unanswerable questions of being human - what makes us connected or disconnected to ourselves and others, and why and how our lives can feel meaningful. I hope to provide a supportive and challenging space for clients who are seeking to understand the issues that are holding them back from living their fullest lives. I am direct and active in session, while allowing people the space to develop their own insights.
I specialize in helping people explore relationship/family patterns, issues of identity and intimacy, and new ways of experiencing and understanding their own thoughts and feelings. I continue to learn new approaches and frameworks, but I primarily use psychodynamic and existential theory, the Internal Family Systems model, and Somatic Experiencing.
Starting therapy for the first time or with a new therapist can be stressful. I try to be as transparent about the process as possible and I am always happy to answer any questions you have. Right now I am unable to take new patients but I supervise two clinicians, Jodi Keller and Laura Duprey, who I highly recommend.
